Oof. Feeling this one deeply lately. I’m sure there will be much Wonder content coming from this season of life but in the meantime I just wanted to leave this encouragement for anyone who needs it. I believe hard seasons are segues to growth and change and good things 💛 thinking of you all!

Happy summer everyone! We've completed our FIRST EVER school year as an LLC and we can't be more grateful for all the wonderful people in our lives! We'll be back in August with more business news and music! Stay cool this summer, we'll see you in the fall!

We're in search of a CT licensed music therapist to join our team as early as August 2024! Check out the details below:

-Starting as part-time contractor (~12-15 clients weekly)*
-$35 / per session (negotiable)
-$27 / per music lesson

-Appropriately credentialed for your profession

Melodic Goals was built from the community, for the community. Because of this, we're SO excited to be announcing that we're offering FIVE free introductory music lessons this summer! Any age or ability is welcomed! These lessons will be offered on piano, guitar, or ukulele -- instruments will be provided for your lessons!

Due to the requests and interest received during workshops, we've decided to create our own YouTube channel! You can now subscribe to "Melodic Goals, LLC" on YouTube to access early childhood songs and intervention ideas, afterschool program projects, guided meditation with music, and more! As our first season of afterschool programming comes to a close, we wanted to share some awesome reflection artwork from some of our students! The students used various colors to connect their feelings to the music therapy group experience! We're so honored to have worked with such amazing students and we can't wait to work with more next school year!

We're so thankful to have connected with Petals and S.T.E.M. and Mellany looks forward to facilitating a workshop on self-care and goal setting for these amazing women! Back at it again with a lovely presentation at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut! Mellany facilitated an interactive presentation for educators that included information about music therapy, interventions that could be utilized in the classroom, and the benefits of music therapy for children as well as individuals across the lifespan! Thanks again so much for having us!

Melodic Goals is celebrating 8 months of operation today! We are truly so thankful for those who supported us during our establishment steps and those who continue to support us as we continue our journey in music wellness, youth engagement, and community collaboration. Here's some highlights!

We are SO grateful to have had the opportunity to present at this year's New England Region American Music Therapy Association conference. We partnered with Progressions Music Therapy Services and The Michael Bolton Charities, Inc. to make this all happen. Our presentation on the Beyond Trauma: Youth Music Therapy programs located in both New London and New Haven Connecticut provided opportunities for other professionals to peek into the nature of our work as well as discuss ways in which we, as professional healthcare and wellness providers, could begin or continue their work with youth and communities in need of additional support. We are also so thankful to have made some many new connections this weekend and can't wait to collaborate with you all in the future!

Today, Mellany presented at a school to teach students about the music therapy profession! Students were engaged and participated in music-centered experientials to learn more about what a music therapy session may look like in a group setting.

As a team that grew up in New Britain and Hartford, we aim to give back to the communities that helped shape us into the people we are today! Special thanks to the familiar and new faces that helped make this day happen!
