Porch and steps repair at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music. Long time clients of mine and I enjoy working on this late 1800's era house.

She shed complete!

Day 2, so far. Isn't the saying "Make hay while the sun shines"? The sun is shining.

My most recently completed project. In-law suite with bathroom. New drain & washtub with separate drain for the washer.

Here's what I did with my St. Patty's Day.

This kept me busy for a few days. The shed was in sad shape. Sometimes it's best to start over. The new shed will last for many years to come. Enjoy Joan Wood. You will not be out-sheded! And your new roof brackets at the back door worked out great. Thanks for the egg salad sandwich.

This was fun! Custom medicine cabinet. I used the mirror from the original cabinet, a true silver backed mirror from the 1920's. Something about a reflection in an old mirror. Strikingly different from a reflected image in today's mirrors. This truly is mirrored glass.

Shout out to ITR. Responded quick. Removed all my jobsite debris and was on time! Swept up too. Really left my clients property clean. The guys were freindly and responsive to my needs. Highly recommend them for any jobsite clean up. Thanks again ITR. You made my Friday a better day!

In certain situations you have to build a cabinet in place. This project was a challenge because of the location of the radiator and pipes. Also space for a sink is limited. Time spent planning and visualizing this project was critical. Client is very pleased with the result.

Eventually these old drum traps leak. Most give 50 or more years of service with no issues. This one had to go! Always a challenge working in a tight space like this. I am fortunate to have been taught how to do this type of repair by two very highly skilled plumbers I've worked with over the years.

Just about complete. We are discussing connecting the center with cabinets. And yes, there will be a larger TV! All custom built by me.

This project is in progress but here is a before and after as of 2/23. There will be bookcases above these base cabinets. Working on them now. The cabinets are made of cabinet grade oak plywood with solid oak rails.

Stefani, your wall is finally patched, new toilet paper holder and towel bar installed. And look at the beautiful new trim and sill on the window. You are the most patient wife ever! Glad it's finally done. What's that you say? New sink and vanity? Let's do it!

Built in bench with storage. Client initially wanted it bigger but we agreed this adjusted size fit the room better. The ability to modify a design is critical. This type of project should look like it has always been there. Design and function.

Installed vanity, sink top & faucet. New toilet also. Client could not afford a complete bathroom renovation but these improvements really make a difference.

Custom bathroom vanity I built for a client. They could not find the size required for the space (height issue). Three self close hinges and magnetic catches will keep the doors operating perfectly. Reinforced frame at top of cabinet will support the sink top and add to overall stability. 1 x 8 back boards with birch ply back applied also give the cabinet a level of stability not found in off the shelf, particle board cabinets. Vanity is paint ready by my client.

Many people have a fireplace that cannot be used for one reason or another. Mine has a cracked liner. Until it is repaired here is a creative use for it over the holidays.

Table top refinish. 70 year old maple table. Pull out table extension hardware is a bit wonky but that is a project for another day. My grandmother gave me this table in 1989.

All repurposed items. Almost everything can be used creatively.
