It was a great evening celebrating our local business community and all the hard work Discover Haverford does to support it. A special moment of the night was seeing Township Manager David Burman accept an award on behalf of Haverford Township, recognizing his outstanding leadership throughout COVID and our township's swift, thoughtful response to the pandemic. Congratulations to Dave and all those who continue to make Haverford a great place to live and work!

Today, we solemnly remember the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting. For me, this tragedy is deeply personal, as some of the victims and survivors were people I knew through my work in the Squirrel Hill community. The pain of seeing a familiar place and community marred by such hatred is indescribable. My heart is with the Pittsburgh community, the survivors, and those grieving this unimaginable loss. May the memory of the victims be a blessing and serve as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to combat antisemitism and hate. Together, we must build a future grounded in compassion and understanding.

Here's your monthly reminder that Haverford Township households interested in diverting their food waste (and pizza boxes) through a curbside composting service can try FOUR months of free composting service! This is limited to NEW customers only, one per household. 600 incentives are available.
Residents directly contact and contract with their composting service provider of choice or EZ Composting or Mother Compost. For both companies, residents sign up directly on their website. The location of the household triggers either enrollment in the incentive program or an alert that the household is eligible for it.
Funding for the Residential Curbside Composting Incentive Program is provided through a USDA Composting and Food Waste Reduction (CFWR) grant.
This Sunday, October 27, stop by the Skatium for our final 50th anniversary public skate celebration!
There will be a D.J. playing all the hits, plus cupcakes for skaters to enjoy, and more!
