If you haven't been out, the roads are bad this morning. We encourage all to stay in if you can. If someone needs water, we can bring it to them (free), please call (903) 769-3628. If there are any other needs, please let us know and we will try to help in any way we can. We are on duty and have the capability to respond to your calls. We also have MRE's if they are needed. Update: Hawkins Ace Hardware has donated worming medication and other new puppy items to take care of these guys. Thanks for your support Hawkins Ace Hardware. Don't forget to share and get these guys a home.

If you saw us at Mineola Wal-Mart tonight, members of the Hawkins' Fire Department, Police Department and PCT 3 Constable McQueen were shopping with 8 kids from Hawkins' Schools. County wide we had about 60 kids that had $400 each to spend shopping with a First Responder. Everyone had a great time, thank you for the donations. We have plans to take 10 kids next year.

We will be out at Ace Hardware on Friday 11/24/2023 from 11A-2P asking for your help giving kids from Hawkins a good Christmas. If you miss us, we will be at Brookshires on Friday, 12/1/2023 from 4-6 PM. You can also catch us on Friday, 12/8/2023 from 4-6 PM at Dollar General. Thank you and have a great holiday season.
UPDATE: The Citizens of Hawkins and Wood County have been so generous that we have exceeded our goal by more than 50 percent. We will not be asking for more at this time so we will not be at Dollar General tonight. We have 7 kids from Hawkins ISD that will be shopping this year, they will have $400 each to spend. Bring the kids of all ages on Halloween, October 31st at 5PM, we will have Frito Pies, Candy and Safety Equipment for the kids. The first 120 kids get a free flashlight.

Officer's Adam Newell and Shaun Smith seized approximately 5 grams of a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine. Two subjects were charged with Manufacture / Delivery of Substance in Penalty Group 1.
