WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Day Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm with over-time

Location: Santa Clara, CA
Job Type: Full-time

Warehouse Specialist Job Duties:
• Performs accurate pulls and put product away. Inspects cartons and product for damages.
• Read and processes work orders to customer requirements. Assemble product to client specifications.
• Enters information into the automated handheld unit to ensure inventory updates.
• Load and move product throughout the warehouse and trailers.
• Cleans, stages and tags product for outgoing orders.
• Maintains a safe work area by sweeping, dusting, and removing waste material.
• Verifies and signs for deliveries at receiving dock and added notes.
• Fully complies with the company’s safety instructions and procedures
Warehouse Specialist Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to be certified for forklift
• Order picking and use of RF Scanner
• Operate pallet jacks, carts, and hand trucks
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Clearly communicate verbally and/or written
• Work under pressure in deadline-driven situations
• Moves or carry product weighing up to 75Ibs
• Knowledge of multiple office furniture systems not required but a plus

Education/Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1+ years previous experience in warehouse and/or inventory control operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment:
Generally, works in a warehouse environment with moderate noise, changing temperatures, and around mechanical equipment and moving objects. Expected to work over-time when needed; may work alone or with a team; in moderate heat or cold depending on time of the year, plus dirt and dust.

Job description
Founded in 1975, specializes in made-to-spec parts that are used in critical medical and transportation applications. This includes the fabrication of large metal weldments, precision sheet metal fabrication, and CNC machining of small, medium, and large devices.

Responsibilities/Experience:

Use of basic machining inspection tools including calipers, micrometer, height gage, pin gages, thread gages.
Ability to make changes to feeds, speeds, and makes other basic G-code edits as necessary.
Trouble-shooting machining defects (dimensional or surface finish) and either corrects or recommends correction as appropriate.
Demonstrated working knowledge of Geometric dimensional tolerancing.
Perform arithmetic computation, including basic trigonometry.
Designs and builds simple machining fixtures (e.g. soft jaws, custom plates).
Maintain a safe and organized work area

TITLE: Piece-Part Packager/Shipping & Receiving Floater

RESPONSIBILITIES: To package products accordingly to catalog descriptions; to create a finished good according to its bill of material

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm with a ½ hour lunch

ABILITIES REQUIRED:
-- Clear and precise oral communication skills
-- Math skills to simple algebra
-- Attention to detail; this is the first line of quality control
-- Ability to use a counting scale
-- Ability to lift fifty pounds assistance free, and fifty-one pounds with assistance
-- Reliability and punctuality in attendance

DAILY TASKS:
-- Maintain clean, safe work area
-- Follow safe work practices during the performance of work; take all reasonable precautions
-- Packaging of products per the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor’s instructions
-- Kitting
-- Assist with cycle counting
-- Assist Shipping Department to pull parts to fulfill orders
-- Assisting in the Receiving Department when needed
-- Ancillary Team-Related and company tasks as required
-- Report hours worked on company Time Record
