Our Story
A Little Story:
I was just a little girl but I remember sitting next to him, watching in earnest as the charcoal black stallion came to life on the page. I still have my grandfather's sketch in a frame on my wall today. From the beginning, art and creativity have always been a natural part of what keeps me balanced and happy.
We love living in the mountains of Western North Carolina--the Land of Four Seasons. It's an easy place to draw strength and inspiration from. But don't get me wrong- if we could spend the next year of our lives traveling the world, we'd be on that boat. My other favorite art form is Shorinryu Okinawan Karate. It is a beautiful and challenging endeavor. It's good to have something to fall back on to let your brain temporarily escape from an often troubling world. Being active and creative does the trick for me, (well...that and Nintendo).
My husband Jorge is the genius behind the welding creations. Born in Mexico, he is a self-taught jack of all trades with almost 20 years and a 4th degree black belt invested in Shorinryu Karate. (That's where we met, in the dojo.)
