I want to mention something about the spirituality debate in America right now. You don't believe in God? Fine, I'm not one to judge, cause I'm not the judge. Why is it so important for some to mock those of us that do? If we're wrong, what have we lost when we die? Nothing! How does our believing in Jesus bring any harm? You think it makes me stupid? Gullible? Fine. How does that affect you? I would rather live my life believing in God and serving Him, and find out I was right, than not believing in Him and not serve Him, and find out I was wrong. Then it's too late. There's no shame in my game! I believe in Jesus Christ. He said deny me in front of your friends & I will deny you in front of my Father (Matthew 10:33-35). HE'S COMING BACK...Greatest man in history, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. His name is Jesus.
If you're not ashamed copy to your page. I will never be ashamed. I am a believer of Jesus Christ... Thank you Jesus. For all you've given me... I love you...❤️
Stay Blessed💞🙏💞
Hello my friends. I hope everyone is doing as good as you can be in these troubling times. Well as many know I retired from riding and teaching. I had a back surgery and I became a grandma in the past 4 years and have loved every minute of the time I spend with my grandsons. Unfortunately as with many others they have escaped CA. Really it is a great thing but not for me I amiss them terribly. The weekend they left out of the blue an old client called and asked If I could teach her daughter.
Well I am back to teaching a couple of lessons a week and really enjoying it😊. I am visiting my grandsons a lot but the schedule is working😊. It is fun being around the horses🐴🐴

El Rojo Diablo (1999) so deserves to find his person and enjoy his best years! Currently sound for flat arena work, and trails, his trainer Lisa says she is so excited about how this beautiful gelding is going right now! He has three nice gaits, and a trot you can ride forever! Standing just a little below 16h.h., Rojo is super sweet and loves being loved on. He can be just a little spooky but does not overreact. While Lisa has not taken him on trails she says that given how responsive he is, she thinks he would do great. Who can give this lovely horse the great home he deserves? Adoption donation is $650, and Rojo is located in Oak Hills. If interested in learning more please email us at [email protected] and please share to help Rojo find his human :)

Help Carla Angel find her forever person - please share her page! Carla is a 16hh, super sweet, very pretty, and athletic fourteen year old mare seeking a loving home with an advanced beginner or intermediate rider and their family, and is suitable for pleasure and low level flat and slow showing disciplines. She has some minor arthritic developments which are effectively managed with routine injections. Carla was rescued as a starvation/neglect case in 2013 through Riverside County Animal Services. Full details and more information about this horse can be made available to serious prospective adopters by emailing [email protected] Carla's adoption fee is $650, and she is located in Yucaipa.

This incredibly handsome and very kind, smart gelding, Kim's Leading Man ("Thor"), is available for adoption and seeking his perfect, forever partner. Thor does have an old sesamoid racing injury which limits his future career path, however, he is a fabulous trail and pleasure riding prospect. Months of professional transitioning and a kind temperament mean that he is safe and steady on the ground, and under saddle in the arena, for an advanced beginner. He reminds us a lot of TJ's Dixie in terms of his innate athleticism and temperament - and TJ has become a terrific trail and pleasure horse for adopter Rachel. Standing about 16hh, Thor is nine years old, by Unusual Heat, and his full pedigree is here: http://www.pedigreequery.com/kims+leading+man
Thor is located in Yucaipa and his adoption fee is $650. Please email us at [email protected] if you are interested in meeting Thor towards an adoption.

"Greeley" is a very sweet, kind, and gentle eleven year old gelding, standing right around 16 h.h., who is seeking a partner that is sympathetic to his physical limitations for light flat riding, companionship, and lots of love for a lifetime. An adopter seeking a therapeutic partner would be ideal for this handsome guy. Greeley is in partial training, has a ton of arena experience under saddle, and is thoroughly ground broke. Greeley's full pedigree is available at this link:
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/real+greeley
A barn favorite, Greeley raced just once and was rescued at auction in 2012. He is located in Yucaipa in southern California, and his adoption fee is $650. Please email us at [email protected] to learn more about Greeley and his needs and preferences. As always, an adoption application can be found here:http://www.sctbrescue.org/uploads/2014_SCTR_ADOPTION_APPLICATION.pdf
Greeley says thank you for sharing to help him find his person :)
This is a new rescue. He is very sweet. We are taking things slow with him as he feels the need to rush things😃
Valentino, registered name Precaper, a very nice twelve year old gelding is our newest intake, with a jumping background and an owner that cared. He does have some arthritic changes in his hocks which require probably ongoing management, and we won't have him available for adoption until we know exactly how much athletic activity he will tolerate - probably around six months from now. But he is comfortable already for light flat riding and we are optimistic. Thanks go to Johanna - Kathy's daughter - for riding! It was a long, hot afternoon for everyone involved in the photo shoot last Saturday!

We rescued Pinedale, a 2004 In Excess gelding (hey hey... didn't we just have one of those on our page the other day?!), at auction in 2008 for $225. Unlike Noble Gambler, Pinedale never raced. Like Gambler, he is *enormous*. Why no racing? He is a roach back horse (has a deformity of the vertbral column). Our vet has never considered this as prohibiting under saddle activity; he is not in pain as a result, and is an incredibly sound horse. However, it is unclear whether he would perform well in significantly athletic activities. Pinedale was adopted for a period as a (very good) companion horse, but is back with us now and started in light work to keep him active - although no under saddle work yet. He is lovely. Come visit him; he loves visitors. And check out Pinedale and our other adoptable horses at http://www.sctbrescue.org/Adoptable_Horses.html

Justin is in training with Gretchen Clark at Showcase Training Stables in Redlands, southern California. Although still very green, he shows promise as a hunter prospect for a rider experienced in bringing along green horses, or a rider prepared to place him in professional training with someone suitably experienced. No beginners please. Additional information about Justin, answers to any questions you have about him and adoption, adoption fee information, and an adoption application form, can all be obtained by emailing us at [email protected].

Back to regularly scheduled programming here after evacuating seven of our horses from the Blue Cut Fire on Tuesday night. Here is a photo of Donna's Dance under saddle with volunteer Megan Kizer in the irons taken at our photo-shoot with professional Laurie Taylor last Saturday. This was Megan's first time riding Dancer and we were thrilled that Dancer settled as quickly as she did. I'm also posting several photos of Dancer waiting for her photo-shoot with the amazing volunteers that helped prepare her for the photo-shoot. Look how sweet she is on the ground, and how great the volunteers are with her!
Dancer is a sound, sweet, 15.2/3 h.h., eleven year old mare rescued at auction that has been professional re-started from the ground up, had many many months of under saddle training, and is ready for a home with a very light-handed, calm rider that is accustomed to green horses, as she is super sensitive. She loves to be loved on - so if you love to love on your horse a lot she'd be very happy with you :) Dancer has a ton of energy and can ride all day long, so if you have the right kind of experience to settle her and maintain her confidence, and want an equine partner for a very active lifestyle Dancer may be the horse for you!
If you'd like to help Dancer find her forever home, please share this post. If you are interested in meeting her towards an adoption, please complete an application available on this page: http://www.sctbrescue.org/About_Adopting.php
Here are some pictures of Carla Angel one of SCTR's horses we have been retraining. She is being ridden by Johanna, the daughter of Kathy the foster facility in Oak Hills. I recently had shoulder surgery and Johanna is helping me out while I recover. I am ever so grateful😃😃

"Hellooooo???" Bodaway is wondering where the heck his forever person exactly is? He's a gorgeous, six year old, gelding, 16.2 h.h.+ and built like a tank, tons of personality, re-started from the ground up by a professional over the past entire year, going nicely under saddle in the arena, still green so needs someone with experience, but peeps ... His adoption fee is $650, he's located in Oak Hills, CA, and he has a ton of potential. Here is his adoption webpage - click to find an application! And please share him! http://www.sctbrescue.org/Bode_s_Page.html

Bodaway ("Bo") is an approximately 16.2 h.h., 2010 gelding by Suances who was retired from racing following a tendon injury which has now been fully rehabilitated under the care of Dr Lenhert at Apple Valley Equine hospital. Bodaway came to us via CARMA's retiring racehorse placement program; thanks to his connections for using the program to place him with a CARMA funded and vetted organization! He has been gradually re-started by trainer Lisa Headley, from the ground up, and just had his first few under saddle sessions in the last couple of weeks. He is therefore green, and it is too soon to know whether he will be sound for or adept in discipline x,y or z. However, he has remained sound to date in flat work in the arenam is willing, and athletic. Bodaway will require either an experienced OTTB rider, or a very good rider working with a professional trainer with OTTB experience.
Bodaway is located in Oak Hills, California and his adoption fee is $650. If you would like to learn more about this horse, please email us at [email protected]. If you are interested in a possible adoption of Bodaway please complete this adoption application and return it to us:http://www.sctbrescue.org/uploads/2014_SCTR_ADOPTION_APPLICATION.pdf

Look at this handsome,16 h.h. eight year old who is now available for adoption as a pleasure/trail prospect! Suitable for an advanced beginner or intermediate rider/handler, this kind gelding, "Thor"/Kim's Leading Man, earned six figures at the track before retiring due to a sesamoid injury in 2011, and enjoyed a long layup to fully recuperate. He does have some arthritic development at the site of his injury, which we have treated once with Tildren, so more athletic second careers will not be suitable for him. Nonetheless, he is doing very well with the conditioning he has received in the professional re-training he's enjoyed in 2015, has great ground manners, W/T/C/leads in the arena, and will make someone a lovely equestrian partner for flat, pleasure disciplines. Thor is reminiscent of TJ's Dixie, who has been successfully adopted as a trail horse and is doing fabulously in his new career.
Interested in meeting Thor towards a possible adoption? Please complete and return this adoption application to us. http://www.sctbrescue.org/uploads/2014_SCTR_ADOPTION_APPLICATION.pdf
