🏀 Silas Crow's nine-point second half outburst sparked 7th grade to a 39-37 come-from-behind victory.

🏀 Nine different players scored for the 8th grade, as they cruised to a 50-27 win that saw Gavin Slayback (16) and Ridge Braden (13) combine for 29 points.

Heyworth Jr. High Baseball Tryouts will be open to 7th and 8th graders on July 31st from 9:00-11:00 am AND 5:00-7:00 pm. We are looking to fill a maximum roster size of 22 players.
IF, we do not have enough 7th and 8th graders to fill our roster, then 6th graders will be invited to try out to fill those remaining spots on Tuesday, August 1st from 9:00-11:00 am.
6th grade players who register to tryout will be informed if they are to attend Tuesday's tryout after the morning session for 7th and 8th graders on July 31st.

🏀 Metamora completed an undefeated season tonight, winning the IESA Class 3A State Championship.

In the process, they proved that Heyworth was one of the top 7th grade teams in Class 3A this season.

The Redbirds won their three games at state by 23 points (QF vs. Monticello, 50-27), 29 points (Semi vs. St. Peter 52-23), and 29 points (Championship vs. McKinley, 50-21).

Our boys can take some solace in the fact that our 14-point loss (7-point game in 4Q) equated to Metamora's...

📰 The Hornet eighth grade season comes to an end one game shy of state. Heyworth controlled the pace in the first half, taking an 8-7 lead into the half. Metamora took the lead in the third quarter and built on its 19-13 advantage entering the fourth quarter throughout the final six minutes of the game.
