Really Livin' Taxidermy

Still working on a way to get good pictures of these guys but this beautiful Oregon bull is ready to go home this week! Just had to share him!!

Also took this coyote to Idaho and received a red. Not a great cape but just good opportunity to practice and get critiques on another predator.
I really like how the habitat turned out!
This trade has got me head over heals and it is so rewarding!

What a awesome weekend at the Idaho Taxidermist Association state show! Top notch people. Had a great time meeting some new friends and hanging out with old ones.
I took this mule deer and was best in the novice division with my first blue ribbon.
I am so hooked, the judges critiques and clinics are helping me advance quickly.

Sitka Blacktail stud sent home yesterday on my way to Idaho show.

These two beautiful Columbia Blacktail bucks are ready to go home to my 14 year old nephew!

Just headed home from the Western States taxidermy championships in California, wow what an incredible experience for my first show!
Took these two pieces down as a late decision and got a red, just 2 points short of a blue on the bobcat, and a white just 1 point short of a red on the blacktail buck!
Most of all learned new tips, tricks, and techniques from the other competitors and judges that will make my work better with each one.

Turkey season is just around the corner!
I created this mount with mine last year!

Pack mount I put together with a young female coyote I harvested last fall, a giant mule deer shed I picked up a couple years back, and an old aluminum pack frame a friend gave me!

Bobcat desk pedestal finished up for a friend for some predator practice!

Had to take a side by side of these 3 predators, look at the teeth on these beasts!
Coyote, Mountain Lion, Black bear.

Finished up a couple of last springs bear rugs this week!
2 totally different color phases of Oregon black bears.
Both nice bears!!!

Couple more Euros finished and sent home for the holidays!!
