Michael Bassett was an inspiring teacher and a phenomenal local poet. Hatchery of Tongues is brilliant work. One of his former students is even on the Hilton Head Poetry Trail. This is heartbreaking news in the world of South Carolina poetry.

Stop #10: Great shot of a 3-part sculpture, Transcendence
Two new locations are being added next week. This will bring the total Sites to 25 when they are installed. One more likely to be added to "complete" the trail for now.
Also, be on the lookout as we begin to update some of the locations with new poems and poets.
