There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

There is a whole range of gifts, talents and ways in which the Spirit is working in us as believers. Sometimes I find it hard, especially when I focus too much on how others are using their talents to honor God. Then I get a sneaky feeling that it is impossible for me to do anything well enough to do things their way.
This Scripture from 1 Corinthians touched me, because it is not about what is the right way of serving God. God consciously created us all different. It is not a coincidence that we all are different. The Lord works in different ways so we can complement one another. The gifts are not for ourselves, but they are meant for the common good of the church.
I believe we can see in this Scripture that God calls us to use the gifts He gave us to glorify Him.
