We are excited to host a Story & Craft Time to celebrate Black History Month!
All children ages 3-5 are invited to join us on Wednesday, February 23 from 10:30-11:30am at the Hingham Community Center, 70 South Street. Totsie McGonagle, Children's Librarian at the Hingham Public Library will be our special guest reader.
No registration is required. Please note that this is NOT a drop-off event.

Due to the impending snowstorm tomorrow, Friday February 4th, and the possibility of unsafe driving conditions, the district will be operating on an early release schedule.
There will be no afternoon or evening activities as well as no afternoon Pre-K.

Unity Week continued in the decorated High School Cafeteria tonight. Students enjoyed the Disney movie “Encanto” as they celebrated the festivities together.
Snow day! Our maintenance department has performed to the highest levels to have our schools prepared, but we are experiencing difficulties across town to get roads and side walks to be passable.
Thank you to our maintenance department for all of their hard work!

After a unanimous decision last night, the Hingham School Committee selected Dr. Margaret Adams of Melrose Public Schools as the next Superintendent for Hingham Public Schools. Welcome, Dr. Adams!

Join us tomorrow night, January 4th, for the final two Superintendent Candidate interviews! Dr. Scott Carpenter will be on at 5:00 PM, and Dr. Margaret Adams at 6:00 PM. The School Committee will interview both candidates, and deliberate Wednesday the 5th in hopes to select a Superintendent.

Hingham Public Schools celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month! The event, which spans from September 15 to October 15, commemorates how those communities have influenced and contributed to American society at large.
Today culminated the farewell celebrations across the district. Congratulations to all of the graduates from elementary to high school. We are all proud of your achievements!

Please pre-order your box meals from Soleil, a Black-owned restaurant in Boston’s Nubian Square (advance orders only) on the Hingham Unity Council website BY THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 11th.
Even if you can't stay do to other commitments, this is a great opportunity to feed the family and support a Black-owned business in observation of this holiday. Meal pick up will be at the Bathing Beach at approximately 4pm.
We will also enjoy poetry written & read by local resident David Janey, learn about the history of this holiday, listen to fun music & more! Hope to see you there!
