AKWESASNE COMMUNITY INVITED TO ATTEND SCREENING OF AVATAR:THE LAST AIRBENDER AT PORT THEATRE
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Land-Based Healing Program, in collaboration with Akwesasne Child & Family Services, Netflix, and the family of Corey and Barbara Tarbell, would like to extend an invitation to the community of Akwesasne to attend a special screening of the first episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The screening will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Port Theatre in Cornwall. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m.

There will be a special appearance by Akwesasronon actress, and cast member of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Kiawentiio, who will provide a brief intro to the episode prior to the viewing.

There is limited seating and all attendees are required to RSVP via the attached EventBrite link: rb.gy/3x9e2h . You can also scan the QR code to receive the link to RSVP as well. There will be no walk-in attendance or media/interviews allowed.

For any community members needing assistance in RSVP’ing on the EventBrite site, please call Marcey Thompson, Akwesasne Child & Family Community Support Worker, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 613-577-7411.
