I know how much emotional energy it can take to find a therapist that is the right fit for you, so let me start by saying congrats on taking this first big step. I will facilitate you reaching your own goals. Problems very rarely have only one source as they are usually due to a combination of things. I will assist you in navigating all the things in your life that come together and create difficulties. Some things are under your control and some things aren’t; I’m here to help you control the things you can and learn to cope with the things you can’t. I provide a safe, judgment-free, and culturally competent environment to aid your comfort and personal growth.
I received my undergraduate degree in social work from Central CT State University and my graduate degree in social work from Fordham University. Much of my experience is with the Deaf and hard of hearing community. I have worked with individuals who have a variety of disabilities and disorders, including those who have ADHD, are on the autism spectrum, those with intellectual disabilities, persons who are Deafblind, and the chronically ill, among others. I have experience with many cultures, races, religions, backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
Mental health is often not given enough time or consideration due to all the other responsibilities in life. With my flexible work from home scheduling, you can make yours a priority. Contact me so we can start working together.
