Arkansas is expecting upwards of 1.5 MILLION visitors that week and this will more certainly impact your daily living.

Conway schools have already made April 8th optional and I imagine theres a possibility that will be extended.

In 100 days we will turn dark in the middle of the day. Once in a lifetime experience.

It can’t be stated enough how rare this total solar eclipse will be for the state of Arkansas.

The path of totality (the sun being completely blocked by the moon) is highlighted in red below.

It’s likely that thousands upon thousands of people will flood our state to view this.

Traffic will probably be rough.

I’ve never experienced totality during an eclipse and I’m very excited to watch this unfold. It will be here before we know it.

Our country won’t see another total eclipse until 2044 and it will not be in Arkansas.

What Christmas treats do your family make?

Here’s a few tips to keep in mind:

1. After dough is mixed, split in half, wrap in plastic wrap, and put both halves in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Work with 1/2 at a time so it stays cold. It’s also just easier to work with the dough this way.

2. Use metal cookie cutters.

3. Don’t overcook! In my mind they needed to start browning to be done but that’s not true. For my oven it’s 9-10 minutes at 350°.

Well, this past year has been absolutely crazy busy. So much so that…

I never actually took it down. 😂

Working, running a business and getting my real estate license was a LOT.

And somehow I drew the line at saying “no” to things at putting up my tree.

Therefore, I’m pleasantly prepared for this Christmas season and and so happy drinking my tea out of my Christmas mug!

Team work makes the dream work!

And when you’re teammate is your daughter it just makes it extra special!

I love getting to teach her life skills and just, in general, how to be a helpful human and learn to do things for yourself.

It may take a coffee, ice cream or cash but it’s totally worth it!

The dinosaurs on the trek were all decked out for Christmas which was a fun surprise.

They tinkered with ALL things and went through the kids tunnel play area at least 3 times.

It’s the perfect indoor activity for a beautiful day OR a rainy day! Plenty to do inside to keep the kiddos busy for at least a few hours. But the Dino Trek Trial is fun to walk if the weather is nice.

God has most certainly led me on a journey I didn’t know I needed and this new path he’s guiding me down has felt so right.

That being said, if your Airbnb/VRBO host worked hard to make sure you had a delightful stay, RATE them well! Their business depends on it. Things WILL go wrong. That’s just part of it, part of traveling. But if your host is understanding and helpful and jumps in to do the best to make it right, give them the credit they deserve.

Cheers to taking the path that God leads you down that’s NOT the path you thought you were supposed take.

If you’re looking for a theme park close by you should check out Magic Springs in Hot Springs, Arkansas!

It’s the perfect size park for a funday without getting too overwhelmed. And it’s just an hour away from Little Rock.

Pro Tips:

👉go on a weekday (open 11-6)
👉wear your swimsuit under your clothes and start with the dry rides
👉def wear flip flops or water shoes in the water park. The ground gets really hot
👉pack a lunch in an ice chest, leave it in the car, and between the rides and water park take a lunch at the picnic tables. Grab a table cloth from the $ tree and don’t forget the sanitizer and napkins.
