“Frog”tastic news!!!! The Quirky Frog 🐸 will be at Branson Market Days!

The Quirky Frog came about from the love that Layne and I shared. She loved helping make everything especially the flower crowns and beaded wands. I will be vending at shows hopefully sooner than later. Thank you for your support and kind words through this difficult time. I know she is smiling and cheering The Quirky Frog 🐸 on to continue.

Layne could light up a room with her smile and now she is smiling down on us from heaven. If you have a Layne story please share it here. I will post arrangements when they are finalized.

Layne can no longer go to shows in person but will always be there in spirit. Because of her continuing health issues The Quirky Frog has to limit show to just those in/near Hot Springs.

Who is Layne?

Layne is an amazing lady that I (along with my husband) have the honor of being her guardian. Layne is a 60 years young lady that happens to have Down Syndrome. She loves life and the rock band KISS. Up until her diagnosis of Alzheimer's she was active in the Special Olympics and working at Abilities Unlimited. She loves all things colorful and flashy. Her favorite thing to buy except KISS 'stuff' would be flashing shoes. She has the most contagious smile than anyone that I know and the cutest little giggle.

Layne loves to craft and The Quirky Frog has come about because of that love. She likes to help make things and often adds her own special touch. 😉 She goes with me to most craft shows. Layne enjoys going to shows but when she is ready to go home, she can often be overheard telling customers that they need to buy "ten of them." 😂 This is because I have told her that if we sell everything, we can go home early.

So if you happen to be at a show that we are at, make sure to stop by and say hello to Layne.

Because of medical reasons, The Quirky Frog 🐸 will not be at the Garland County Craft Show. We will miss seeing everyone but will be back next year. Prayers are greatly appreciated.

We have had several requests for rainbow colored Whimsy Drops with dog/cats as the bottom charm. Customers wanted to remember their four legged family member in a special way. We heard you and have made some for Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market. The photo is from our last show as I forgot to snap a photo before packing the Whimsy Drops away. If this is something you are interested in, stop by our pink canopied booth early for a bigger selection.

The Quirky Frog has 4 wands to choose: regular beaded wands, emergency beaded wands, light up wands, and ribbon wands. Wand pouches are also available so that your wand can be ready at a moments notice! All wands and pouches come in a variety of colors. We will be at Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market tomorrow under the pink canopies!

After the last show we found ourselves out of many of our Color Me Again shirts. We solved that problem this morning and all sizes are now in stock, specifically, our Unicorn, Dragon, and Rainbow shirts. Kids love these shirts and make excellent presents or Granny Camp activity. So make sure to find us under the pink canopies at Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market, this Saturday.

We spent the morning making/restocking our night lights to include the much asked for softball night light. Come get yours at Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market.

Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market has been postponed due to the weather. The new date is Saturday, July 22.

The Quirky Frog 🐸 will be at Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market on July 8th!! If any of our followers or friends are in the Fort Smith area this is a must do event! Come early as there is so much to see and do! But most of all, stop by and say hello to Layne and I.

We are having so much fun at WhiteHart Renaissance Faire! There is so much to do and see. Watch out for the flying rats!! But most of all stop by The Quirky Frog!

If any of my friends are near the Springfield, MO, area, leap on over to the WhiteHart Renaissance Faire near Hartville. We are set up in the children’s realm near the beer garden. We are ready for a fabulous day.

The rain had other ideas on Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market today. I will not know all the damage until I am able to get everything out a dried. But rest assured The Quirky Frog 🐸 will not give up! We are looking at our schedule to see if we can possibly make the July market. We will post if it works out. Thank you for following! Another item we are bringing to Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market that we did not last year are Bug Lanterns. These lanterns not only have lights but small holes in the lid (bottom) so let the bug hunting begin.

When it comes to wands, we will be bringing back to Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market our near sell out beaded wands as well as a couple of new wands. Our new wands include wands that light up and colorful ribbon wands. We also have wand pouches so you can have your wand close. Check out the photos! Comment your favorite style and color(s) below!

What do we have new for Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market this year? Glad you asked! We have created these awesome jars. There are four styles: dragons, fairies, unicorns, and mushrooms. All jars come with fairy lights and have a variety of uses.

One of our kids’ favorite are our Color Me Again shirts. The shirts can be colored with washable markers and when washed, the color disappears. So the shirt can be colored again. We are bringing them to Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market so make sure to stop by after building your fort! We have sizes 2T to Adult S/M for each of these designs.

I needed to set up the canopies today for various reasons. One of them was to check how many more sheets I needed to paint for my Ren Faire set up. I snapped this photo of one of the ends. I painted a castle window on a couple of sheets. This is coming along with only 2 more sheets to paint. The walls will go around on the outside of the poles. My painting time is limited by the temperature.

When The Quirky Frog does Renaissance Faires, we have sides on our canopy to make the booth more like a shop. I have been using old gray sheets that I originally used as table clothes as the walls. I decided to painted the sheet to be stone walls in hopes it will get a “castle” effect.
