A balanced training regimen prevents overuse injuries and burnout. Integrate rest and recovery periods into their schedules. Fall camp is right around the corner for our football athletes. Here are our tips for staying hydrated and recovering well:
1. Include electrolytes in your post-workout drink
2. Eat foods with high water content such as watermelon, strawberries, and grapefruit - hydration doesn’t have to only be in liquid form!
3. Treat sleep as if it’s part of your training program to help improve recovery and overall wellbeing
4. Consider incorporating cold water immersion (ice baths!) and/or contrast water therapy (going from hot to cold water in a 1:1 ratio) post workout

We’re answering your frequently asked questions!
Q: Do all coaches, even part-time, have certifications?
A: YES! As a sports performance center dedicated to science-backed, evidence-led training, we only hire coaches who are university-educated in exercise science, kinesiology, and strength and conditioning. Each coach is required to have or expected to be working towards becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Our coaches are true experts and highly trained and educated in their craft.
