🎬 Alumni Spotlight: Robert Ratliff ‘09 Talks About New Film Honoring His Late Father 🎬
We are proud to share that Robert Ratliff '09 has played a pivotal role in the upcoming film "You Gotta Believe," which honors the legacy of his father, Bobby Ratliff. Bobby coached the 2002 Westside Little League All-Stars on an inspiring journey to the Little League World Series. He was not only a mentor to a team of underdogs but also a beacon of hope during his courageous battle with cancer. The film, starring Luke Wilson as Bobby, releases today, August 30, and beautifully captures the power of perseverance, unity, and belief, as the players rally around their coach and each other, embracing the motto "You gotta believe."
Take the family today to see this inspirational film and support Nolan Catholic alumnus, Robert Ratliff! You can also check out the full story in Fort Worth Magazine by Stephen Montoya.

Congratulations to our head volleyball coach Dolores Olguin on a reaching Career win 500.. We at Saint Joseph Academy are proud!
I keep a couple of whistles that my dad started his coaching career with. A always bring one out for my first game at a new school. A few years ago the cork disintegrated in one. I brought the last one out tonight and the magic is still there as the Lions survived a 6-0 win against Yorktown in our first JV game of the season. The kids made my pops proud and I had to shed a tear at the end.

We are thrilled to announce that Greg Bice ‘99, a proud alumnus and four-time will be joining our coaching staff as the Lacrosse Director of Player Development. In this role, Coach Bice will collaborate closely with our Head Men’s and Head Women’s Lacrosse Coaches to establish a comprehensive feeder program aimed at nurturing the talents of our Middle and Lower School lacrosse players, while also building our academy lacrosse program. With his extensive knowledge and experience, Coach Bice is poised to be a tremendous asset to our lacrosse community. Read more at our link in bio.

Jim Duffer, inducted to the Houston Area Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame earlier this year, was picking alongside of us all at Milby last year with Dan.
We moved our Guest Picker to the "Big 5" games and made Jim a permanent part of the team.
We just try and pick the most compeitive games each week and put some schools out here that some of you may have never heard of before.
Remember, it is just a pick. We love every school. Want everybody to excel and do well. Just a good, clean fun way to work through the 2024 football season.
