Summer is winding down and Clear Creek ISD is gearing up for another great school year! Back-to-school forms open online beginning at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 29. Parents will log in to Skyward Family Access and find the forms on the left. Please complete this important task no later than Thursday, August 8, to verify school attendance for class lists and scheduling purposes. Elementary campuses open during the week beginning Tuesday, July 30, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. to accept proof of residency and enrollment documents. Intermediate and high school times vary, but you can contact your campus for exact instructions. Be on the lookout for the complete Back-to-School Guide early next week to help prepare you and your family for the first day of school!

• Minimize your pets' time outdoors, especially during extreme cold. Bring them inside if the weather becomes too harsh. ❄️
• Consider using pet clothing, like sweaters or jackets, when going outside, especially for short-haired breeds or older pets. 🧥
• Snow and ice can be harsh on pets' paws. Wipe their paws clean after walks to remove any salt, ice, or chemicals, and consider using pet-safe paw balms to protect their pads. 🧤
• Keep your pets dry to prevent hypothermia. Moisture from snow or rain can quickly lower their body temperature. 🤒
• Ensure your pets' indoor environment is warm and comfortable. Provide warm bedding and avoid placing their sleeping areas near drafts. 🪵

These precautions can help keep your pets safe and comfortable during freezing weather. Monitoring their well-being and ensuring a warm and safe environment are crucial to protecting them from harsh winter conditions.

If you see a pet restrained outside without shelter for an extended period in extreme weather, please report it immediately at 832-927-PAWS.

TXDOT Houston will start tonight treating all Tier 1 Structures (elevated bridges and entrance and exit ramps). This process will continue through the weekend.

There is a lot of misinformation going around about free NYE rides. The only free rides available in Houston tonight are through METRO (6p-6a).

There are a few local law firms willing to reimburse your Uber/Lyft/Cab rides tonight up to $30-$35, if you submit a reimbursement request per their terms (links in comments).

AAA Texas has not operated Tipsy Tow in 4 years, and the Uber codes NYEStella23 and UberFreeNewYears are not valid here. Please do not rely on these things to get you home safely tonight.
