Our Primary classroom plants needed some love after the winter break. We took advantage of this beautiful weather to replant some basil and cilantro! We can’t wait to watch them grow! 🌿
Montessori math takes abstract concepts and teaches them through concrete materials. These Montessori red and blue rods are a visual representation of quantity. As the children count and match the number, the length of the rod progresses as well, giving them the understanding of quantity.
Today we had a special parent visit! As a geologist, she talked to us about how the colors and features can tell us where a rock came from. We sorted rocks that came from volcanoes, the sand, and the water. We talked about metamorphic, igneous, and mineral rocks. 🪨

Primary Communtiy celebrated Election Day by voting for their afternoon snack (goldfish vs. Fruit). We talked about voting, ballots, popular vote, and ballot boxes.
Our children enjoyed creating their own landforms in nature. What a fun idea!

Fall brings pumpkin season! We loved exploring all parts of the pumpkin today! We were touching, feeling and smelling! We have a fun week planned with different pumpkin activities! 🎃
We had some beautiful flowers brought to school today by a friend. He then demonstrated “flower arranging” for all his friends. We now have colorful flower arrangements adding warmth and beauty to our classroom! 🌺 🌸 🌹
