Think about this: There are already many people alive today who will live to see the year 2100. Someone born today will only be 76 when they ring in the new year.
With the way technology is advancing I wouldn't be surprised it the first person who will eventually live to be 1000 years old is already living as well.

I used to judge Samson as really gullible, to be honest. The response to, "You keep making a fool of me.", from a woman constantly trying to kill him seems obvious. But, the truth is I've done this, myself. Most decent people have, to some extent or another.
Abused spouses, children, parents, employees, store clerks, etc., do it all the time.
It happens every time we rationalize harmful words and deeds from others, toward us, and don't hold them accountable.
~ Oh, and there's a term for Delilah's questioning of Samson's loyalty after it was clear she was the disloyal one who intended harm: It's called 'gaslighting'.
We all know a Delilah. Most of us, believe it or not, know many.
God gives us this info to learn the easy way: Let's not allow them to sap all our strength and feed us to other evil people, before learning better.
