This weekend was a long weekend for the soldiers of the 451. Civil Affairs teams from the mighty A/451 caught a ride on a Blackhawk helicopter and were able meet with representatives from Galveston County Emergency Management and Scholes Field Airport Management.

Training is fundamental to successful operations. Leveraging technology enables our soldiers to train in ways never imagined before. The Virtual Battlefield System (VBS3) enables soldiers to train on fundamentals. This past month, Soldiers of the Battalion assisted our brother and sister Soldiers of the Pasadena Recruiting Station at several recruiting events. Our Soldiers were able to discuss the Army with potential recruits. 451 Soldiers used today’s annual training time to hone CBRNE and driver training skills. Focusing on the basics will allow Soldiers to develop and sharpen their skills for the upcoming training year.
Shout out to our amazing Unit Ministry Team. Without the spiritual guidance and wise counsel of our Chaplains, we would not be the great unit we are! Thank you UMT!
Annual training: 451 Soldiers utilized the Virtual Battlefield Simulator to build upon the previous days’ instruction and practice. Spartans Lead the Way!
451 Soldiers participated in amazing training today that took them back to the basics of soldiering—map reading and troop leading procedures. Training included a complete, to scale, terrain model.
