I sat down yesterday and just reflected on the fact that i'm playing French Quarter Fest and it made me reflect on how I got here. Reflecting on alot of choices I made in my career that may have slowed me down but I knew were going to help me in the long run.

I started DJing in 2006. Went full time after getting laid off from Cumulus in 2018. Even living in New Orleans as long as I have it's been an uphill battle for alot of gigs just because of missing that era of not going to high school here or being cliqued up with people. It's been disheartening sometimes to feel as though i'm overlooked but it never deterred me from keeping my head down, doing the work and moving forward.

One of my favorite quotes is by Nipsey Hussle he said "The only difference between me and alot of other people is that I didn't quit." I can sit here and say it's been my talent and work ethic and etc that's gotten me here and that's definitely played a part in it but the biggest thing is just that I never quit, I kept pressing forward.

It takes alot to walk thru the darkness for no other reason than knowing that light is going to be on the other end of it.

Anyway just wanted to take a moment to reflect and say thanks to everybody that's supported in some way, shape or form in this

18 year journey of mine. I appreciate it all. Looking forward to seeing you guys at French Quarter Fest or any of the other gigs and remember that it's a marathon and not a journey. Keep doing what you're doing, keep moving forward, appreciate the journey it took to get where you are while always being ready to continue forward.
