Charles Paul is ONE.

Charlie has taught us a lot over the past year. The best being the importance of prayer.

We covered Charlie in prayer leading up to his birth, but man oh man. After he was born were we reminded what it means to call out to God ALL the time.

From the first few weeks of life when this mama called out to God in the middle of the night for the energy to feed Charlie, to the times we cried out to God when Charlie didn’t feel great. The morning praises and the noontime thankfulness to the prayers before bed with daddy. Prayers between Max and I for the fruit of the spirit to overflow out of us - that Charlie will one day see Jesus in us. Prayers for patience. Prayers for energy. Songs of praise. Prayers that Charlie will grow up to see God’s faithfulness and trust in the life only He offers. Prayers of repentance - for asking for forgiveness when we mess up as parents and don’t always put our best foot forward. Little prayers while we’re playing, or driving, or working.

Thank you Charlie, for teaching us to talk to God like he’s our best friend - well, cause He is.

Today we pray, overflowing with praise and thankfulness for all the JOY and SMILES this little boy brings.

Just super duper thankful.

Super grateful to be able to do it all with the happiest babe (and husband) Charlie is the best boy and is usually up for anything.

Also thankful for the freedoms that are so often taken for granted. 🇺🇸

And most of all thankful for our faithful Father who has us all in the palm of his hands, exactly where he wants us, “for such a time is this” 🤍

DRIED FLORALS 🌾

While wedding planning, I quickly figured out my flower budget did not match the wedding florals market. I continued to research my options - and decided on buying dried flowers and putting the bouquets together with my mom. Turning out to be one of my favorite decisions for our wedding!

We found this to be so fun & relatively affordable- and best part they last FOREVER !!
My wedding bouquet is currently on display in our home & I hope to be able to enjoy it forever. It still looks just as pretty as it did on our wedding day. My hairpiece and Max’s boutonnière are a special momento from our day.

With that being said, if you are a bride, a bride to be, or know of someone looking for something a little different … dried flowers is the way to go!

Been thinking a lot about motherhood lately… imagine that 🙆‍♀️😂

Our culture has done a very bad job at promoting motherhood and marriage for that matter.

Being Max’s wife these last 5 months has been the biggest blessing to me. Marriage is SO fun when we both are striving to live for Jesus and not for self. 🧺🧹🍳

Now I know being a mother won’t be easy but I pray that the JOY that my Savior brings me will overflow into my child’s life. And that Max and I raise little ragamuffins to love Jesus above all else. 👶🏼

BUT that means what we’re doing in the here and now with spiritual discipline makes a difference in the long run & that isn’t always easy.

Thankful for the best role model of moms who invested in us kids with time & example.

So to all the young mommas and grown ones, the hoping to be moms & the grandmas, and all the mothers in between.
