These guys were just purple belts then but both had already earned epic legend status in the competition BJJ world. I was a blue belt at this event and it was a super cool event. My first time competeing in Brazil and my only Gold. But that is another crazy story.

Marc is one of the American Pioneers, he was been in the BJJ game since it arrived here in the states. Started training at the Original Gracie Academy, moved to Beverly Hills BJJ, and then Opened the now Famous Cobra Kai BJJ in Las Vegas. This match was somewhere in socal. Marc used to do every event around. So Im not sure which one it was.
