✨ From London to Edinburgh: A Culinary Adventure ✨

After three delightful nights in London, we boarded a train for a scenic 4.5-hour journey north to Edinburgh, Scotland. The ride was a peaceful escape, with the rolling English countryside unfolding like a painting outside our window. 🌳🚂

Upon arriving in Edinburgh, one thing became abundantly clear: my cell service was practically non-existent. Not slow—non-existent. Our hotel was just a ten-minute walk away, but navigating the bustling streets while lugging our bags and playing the guessing game with directions made it feel longer. I’m pretty sure we eventually surrendered and hopped into a cab for a quick 5-minute ride. 😅

Unfortunately, I was beginning to battle a double whammy—Covid and a bacterial infection—so my memories are a bit hazy. But I do remember the spectacular views from our hotel room, which was a perfect sanctuary after a challenging day of travel. 🌄

As evening rolled in, our appetites followed. We weren’t up for a long trek, so Mrs. Foodie scrolled through restaurant options and read off a few menus. When she mentioned Scott’s on Princes Street, I was sold immediately.

Though I wasn’t in the mood for an appetizer, Mrs. Foodie was curious about the Porcini Mushroom Arancini. Ironically, I ended up loving them while she found them less appealing. They were definitely unique, and I’m glad we gave them a try. 🍄

For the main course, I indulged in a Butternut Squash, Spinach, and Chickpea Curry paired with rice, poppadoms, and a delightful sweet-and-spicy mango chutney. This dish was a revelation—so much so that I declared I wanted to return the next day to enjoy it again. It had just the right amount of heat and a perfect balance of flavors. 🌶️🥘

Mrs. Foodie opted for the Grilled Chicken with Golden Gnocchi and a side of garlic bread. While I can’t recall every detail of her dish, I do remember taking a bite of the garlic bread and loving it. The gnocchi was also quite good, from what I can remember. 🍗🍞

Little did I know, this would be my last truly enjoyable meal in Edinburgh, as my illness took a turn for the worse. But despite that, Scott’s on Princes Street remains a highlight of our trip—a fantastic restaurant with equally fantastic views of the Scott Monument and Edinburgh Castle. 🌆🏰

A Day in Notting Hill: Sun In Splendour

During our exploration of London, we found ourselves in the charming Notting Hill area, just a short tube ride from our hotel. As lunchtime approached, we stumbled upon a quaint restaurant called Sun In Splendour—the name alone was enticing enough to draw us in. One glance at the menu, and I knew I had to try the quintessential British dish: fish & chips.

Opting to dine in the courtyard, we were seated within ten minutes, enjoying the fresh air as we waited. The meal began with a loaf of bread and butter, which was a pleasant surprise. The bread was hearty, full of flavor, but required a bit of effort to chew—not that I’m complaining.

When my fish & chips arrived, I was thrilled to see it was made with haddock. I have to say, this might have been the best fish & chips I’ve ever had. The fish was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside, with the breading holding firm with every bite.

Mrs. Foodie, on the other hand, took a more adventurous route, ordering the schnitzel. She was expecting it to come with a sauce or perhaps a drizzle of honey, but it arrived as a simple, yet well-prepared, chicken filet. Curious, she sampled my fish and immediately regretted her choice, resorting to dipping her schnitzel in my tartar sauce. It was an odd combination, but in the end, she confessed that the fish was the star of the meal.

Overall, Sun In Splendour left a great impression on both of us. I’d gladly return for another round of their incredible fish & chips. As for Mrs. Foodie, I suspect she’d join me—just not for the schnitzel.

After a whirlwind week that whisked us overseas, we returned home brimming with memories and a few unexpected adventures. Our journey took us through the iconic streets of London and the charming lanes of Edinburgh, where we spent three nights each. While our London leg was filled with excitement, I caught a bug that unfortunately decided to fully manifest during our time in Edinburgh.

Despite this, one of the highlights of our trip was indulging in a traditional English afternoon tea—something Mrs. Foodie had eagerly anticipated. She discovered a hidden gem called London Secret Garden, just a stone’s throw from our hotel, and promptly secured us a reservation.

Our experience there was nothing short of delightful. We sipped on an array of exquisite teas, each with its own unique charm. I found myself enchanted by the strawberry cream tea’s sweetness and the refreshing notes of mint tea, while Mrs. Foodie was particularly fond of the delicate pear tea.

The culinary offerings were as impressive as the tea. The scones, paired with clotted cream and jam, were simply divine—a perfect balance of crumbly and creamy. The chocolate desserts, on the other hand, were decadently rich, satisfying our sweet tooth with every bite.

All in all, our afternoon tea at London Secret Garden was a moment of serenity amidst the bustling city—a perfect way to savor the flavors of England.

Eggs Up Grill has traditionally been one of our regular breakfast spots, but it seems like we hadn’t been in a few months. The last visit I remember was when Santa Claus was there. When we decided to go out for breakfast Sunday, I realized this was a good time to visit again.

Normally, we like to go out for breakfast pretty early to beat the crowds. Maybe 730 or 8. But I wanted to get my bike ride in before the rain moved in. We arrived around 10 and it was around a ten minute wait. It was ok because I wasn’t starving. I had a protein bar before my bike ride so technically this was my early lunch.

As I mentioned, it’s been a while since we visited and the menus looked pretty different. I ordered the chorizo scrambler. Apparently it normally comes with toast, but I upgraded to a pancake for $1.29. I really enjoyed both the scrambler and pancake. If I had been hungrier, I may have preferred a larger portion, but this time I was stuffed. I also enjoyed the potatoes they were served with. They were very zesty. This was different than I remember them being.

Mrs. Foodie had a similar meal to me. She had the Greek scrambler and upgraded her bread to a half waffle. She enjoyed her meal as well.

We’ll definitely be back to Eggs Up Grill again. We probably won’t wait another 7 months this time.

We took a quick trip to Cullman last Saturday to visit my parents and celebrate my dad’s birthday 🎉. We decided to eat at All Steak, one of Cullman’s well-known restaurants 🍽️. If you’ve read my past posts, you’ll remember that my mom and I visited a few weeks ago for the first time in a few years.

In the previous visit, I had salmon that I was really impressed with 🐟. I kind of considered trying something different but went with the salmon again. It was just as good as last time! It was served with Brussels sprouts, potatoes, and a mustard sauce, all of which were wonderful 🥔🥦. I was craving vegetables, so I added an additional side of asparagus. Unfortunately, I didn’t care for it. It was extra thick, and the bottom half of it was extremely tough to chew. I wouldn’t order this again.

Mrs. Foodie had the meatloaf 🍖. The portion was enormous. She loved it but was only able to eat maybe half. I was stuffed, but I tried a bite and agreed it was amazing 🤩.

My mom had a shrimp po’boy, the same as the last visit, and my dad had a steak 🍤🥩. I think they both enjoyed their meals as well.

We all really enjoyed the rolls they bring before the meal 🥖. They come with a delicious whipped butter spread. There’s no need to order dessert because everyone receives a delicious orange roll 🍊.

Unrelated to lunch, I also included a photo of a pickup truck wafer fountain that’s appeared since my last visit to Cullman 🚚💧.

🎉 Friday Night Delight at Salt Factory Pub 🍽️

We decided to go out for dinner Friday, and I was in the mood for some good salmon. A quick Google search led me to Salt Factory Pub. They opened fairly recently, but I hadn’t been yet. With so many new restaurants popping up, it’s been kind of overwhelming. I decided it was time to give them a try. Not only did they have one salmon entree, but they had two! 🐟 This was Mrs. Foodie’s second visit—she had been with a friend once before.

Initially, we didn’t plan to get an appetizer, but then the Louisiana Egg Rolls sounded too good to pass up. They turned out to be an excellent choice. I loved the tangy sauce, and Mrs. Foodie mentioned that they tasted a bit like pizza, which I found strange at first but then realized they did have a pizza roll-like similarity. 🍕😋

For my entree, I had the Blood-Orange Glazed Salmon. It was absolutely delicious. It was served with saffron whipped potatoes and ratatouille. This will definitely be one of my go-to spots for salmon in the area. And a bonus: they are pretty close to us! 🚗

In a twist of fate, Mrs. Foodie also had salmon, opting for the Hong Kong Style salmon. Our server said it was more savory than the version I ordered. It included sticky rice cake, mushrooms, spinach, and miso sake broth. She loved her choice. We both sampled each other’s dishes. She much preferred hers, but I enjoyed both. 🍣❤️

When we first arrived, I told her that I didn’t need dessert. And you know what that means? Yes, we got dessert. 😄 When our server mentioned they had bread pudding, specifically blueberry bread pudding, we knew we had to try it. We both really liked it, especially the fresh blueberries. She did say she would have preferred it a bit less dense though. 🍰🫐

This was my first visit here, and I’ll definitely be back. There are several items on the menu I’d like to try, including the fish & chips and shepherd’s pie. Our server, Jack, was amazing and answered all our questions with a great sense of humor. 🙌

If you haven’t heard, Steam Boys opened up at Clift Farms in Madison this week. They are a chain, but this was our first time trying them. We met a couple of friends of Mrs. Foodie there for dinner. We arrived about a quarter to five and they were already crowded. There were only a couple of open tables. The line wasn’t long yet. There was only one group ahead of us. We ordered then grabbed seats at a table that had opened up.

I wasn’t feeling super hungry, but I wanted to try a few things. I was considering either the beef noodle soup or the Zha Jian Noodles. I decided on the former, because I wanted something soupy. I also ordered the seared beef bao, which came with 2.

He asked if I wanted the soup mild, medium, or hot and I said hot without thinking. He then asked if I was sure and I said yes. In retrospect I should have gotten medium. It was just a bit too spicy for me. A lot of time in Huntsville “hot” is actually mild, but not here. The soup was delicious and the beef was tender.

I liked the baos too, but it was a little awkward eating them. Mrs. Foodie said we’re supposed to eat them with our hands, so I did. I’m very OCD about getting my hands dirty. They were also kind of oily with it dripping everywhere. Not sure if that’s normal. I would get this again, but definitely use a fork.

Mrs. Foodie ordered the pork bao and soup dumplings. She wasn’t sure how big they would be so she also ordered the Zha Jiang Noodles. She had a Thai milk tea to drink. She mostly enjoyed her meal. She really liked the noodles.

Neither of us really cared for the soup noodles. We weren’t exactly sure how to eat them and when we used chopsticks they fell apart. After the baos these were kind of a letdown.

We had a good first impression of Steam Boys. We got there at a good time. By the time we left the line was almost to the door. We’ll be back again. That being said, I’ll probably stick with Sushime as my go to Chinese / Asian restaurant. In addition to being much closer, they are also local.

On the long drive home from Savannah we decided to stop in Macon for lunch. I’ve never been to Macon before other than driving by in the interstate on the way to Florida. I did a quick Google search and knew we had to try H&H Soul Food. It was located right downtown, but only a couple of minutes off the interstate.

We both chose the meat & 3 option. I had smoked turkey, mac & cheese, fried okra, and collard greens. I chose a biscuit as my bread. Oh boy, was this an excellent meal. Everything was delicious. I loved the breading on the okra. My only minor complaint is I wish it were cooked more because I would have liked it a bit more crunchy. With that being said, I would rate this meal a 10 out of 10.

Poor Mrs. Foodie had wanted the meatloaf. I had read the menu to her in the car. Unfortunately, it wasn’t on the brunch menu. She ended up getting country fried steak, which had a similar breading to the amazing fried okra. She chose squash casserole, okra, and deviled eggs as her sides. She got a biscuit same as me. She enjoyed her meal. She said she doesn’t even really like country fried steak, but this one was good. She didn’t like the deviled egg because it used sweet pickles. She gave the other piece to me and I enjoyed it. She later asked for jam for the biscuits, which I also used, and it made it even better.

I’ve already decided this will be a must visit whenever traveling to Savannah or just in the vicinity.

Photos from Foodies in Love's post 07/11/2024

We were only in Savannah for 2 days, not counting the travel days. One of those days we wanted to drive out to Tybee island. I’ve never seen the Atlantic Ocean and it’s been 2 years since I’ve been to the beach anyway so I wanted to go. They also have a lighthouse on the island and seeing that was a priority.

I had seen Pier 16 on one of the Savannah websites and thought it looked really good. After somebody later recommended it, I think somebody from the B&B, I knew that would be our spot.

There were a few things on the menu that looked good to me. I knew I wanted seafood so that narrowed the list for me. I needed getting a shrimp po’boy, which was served with fries. This was an amazing sandwich and the fries were nice and hot. I do wish the sandwich came with a top bun because I do enjoy bread. My other complaint is that I would have preferred much more shrimp. Anyway, excellent food smallish portion. I would go back.

Mrs. Foodie had fish tacos, which came with 3 rather large tacos. I ended up eating most of her last one. They were really good and came with a tangy sauce.

I had already seen pictures online of their key lime pie and knew I had to try it. The strange thing about the key lime pie here is that it is actually a cake. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. As good as my sandwich was, the dessert was the star of the show for me.

Photos from Foodies in Love's post 07/10/2024

The one spot we knew we had to try in Savannah was The Olde Pink House. Multiple people recommended it and everything you read about Savannah mentioned it. I made a reservation a couple of weeks before to ensure that we could get in.

Mrs. Foodie wanted to try the Southern Sushi appetizer. This was smoked shrimp and grits rolled in coconut crusted nori. It came with 3, but our waitress said we could add an extra piece on if we wanted to split them evenly. They were large enough we only ate 3. These were really good appetizers and were definitely unique. I would get them again. The shell had a nice crunch.

The fried chicken and flounder had both been recommended to me, but I wasn’t really in the mood for either. I’ve heard that shrimp and grits is a Savannah specialty so I went with that. I’m not really a grits person. I think I’ve had them maybe 5 times in my life. This dish was specifically served with a grits cake, which I’ve never even heard of. It was really good and I only ate one of them. I would have preferred about double or triple the amount of shrimp, though.

In retrospect I should have chosen a different meal or different appetizer since they were both different versions of the same thing. I had already decided on my entree when Mrs. Foodie decided to order the appetizer and I didn’t have time to think about it. Anyway, both the meal and appetizer were excellent so no big deal.

Mrs. Foodie had one of the specials. Basically a shrimp and crab cake concoction with succotash or something similar. She enjoyed it and I took a bite and thought it was great.

Before the meal they bring these appetizer sticks to the table in a glass jar. They tasted very similar to Cheeze-It’s, only better. We both enjoyed them.

Our first spot to dine after arriving in Savannah was Six Pence Pub. After a long day of traveling we checked in to our B&B and a staff member recommended a restaurant nearby to try. When we arrived they were closed for the holiday, but luckily we stumbled upon Six Pence Pub about a block away. We agreed that it looked good and decided to eat there. They had a nice outdoor patio, but it was full so we ate inside. We waited at the bar for maybe 5 minutes before a table became available.

I was initially drawn to the salmon, since that’s one of my favorite things, but after perusing the menu I decided on the Shepherd’s Pie. After all, I can get salmon anywhere. This entree was delicious, as was the salad that came with it. Definitely a good first impression of Savannah.

Mrs. Foodie decided on an odd item. A crab cake sandwich served on Rye bread. She enjoyed it and gave me a bite. I liked it, but I don’t think I would order it myself. Just too bready.

We ended up not getting a dessert because we thought we might pick something up later. After the meal we took a pedicab ride to River street to watch the July 4 fireworks show.

Photos from Foodies in Love's post 07/08/2024

We took a quick trip to Savannah for the 4th of July holiday weekend. This was our first trip to Savannah and has been a long time coming. We’ve had to cancel a few times. Most notably late March 2020. When I realized the Fourth was on a Thursday I decided to take off Friday so we could take a trip. We debated several options before deciding that now was finally the time to go to Savannah.

We really like staying at Bed & Breakfasts and we found a wonderful B&B in Savannah right across from Forsyth Park appropriately named Forsyth Park Inn. This was an amazing place to stay and we would definitely recommend it. The staff here was very friendly and professional.

In addition to a delicious breakfast every morning, they also serve h’orderves in the evening followed by a dessert a little later. Every meal we had here was amazing, but my favorite was the croissant french toast.

I was expecting it to be hot and humid in Savannah, and indeed it was. Though, I think it wasn’t as bad as Huntsville because of all the tree cover. We weren’t in as much direct sunlight.

We’re already wanting to visit Savannah again and are considering going over Christmas break or maybe spring break next year. Of course, we’ll stay at Forsyth Park Inn if it’s available.

Yesterday I made a quick trip to visit my mom in Cullman. Mrs. Foodie was traveling home from a work trip to Atlanta so she missed this one. I was going though Google and All Steak popped up. It’s been years since we’ve been there so we decided that was a good option.

The All Steak is one of the more well known restaurants in Cullman. It’s been around for a long time. I grew up eating here fairly often, though at the previous location. We all loved their meat and 3 Sunday special, but they stopped having that years ago. For whatever reason we got out of the habit of going. It’s been multiple years since we’ve been so we decided to give it another try.

To start off the meal they bring out a basket with a couple of rolls. These were probably some of the best rolls I’ve had. The whipped butter than came with them was amazing as well. Usually I like to avoid adding additional calories like that, but this was worth it.

They had a lot of good looking things on the menu, but I knew when I saw salmon that’s what I had to get. It was served with brussels sprouts, potatoes, and a mustard sauce. I thought it was amazing and would get it again. This is now my go-to salmon in Cullman.

My mom was excited when she saw that they had a shrimp po’boy. She loves these and not many places around Cullman have them. She decided to get fried rather than grilled shrimp. It came with a side of fries. She really liked it. I tried one of the shrimp and thought it was really good. The only thing that I would complain about is I would have liked about twice the amount of shrimp if I had ordered it myself, but it’s quality over quantity. I tried a few of the fries and they were amazing. Definitely worth the calories. I would order this exact meal myself.

One thing the All Steak is known for is their delicious orange roll dessert. We weren’t sure if you still got one with your meal because we haven’t been since they changed ownership. It turns out you do because at the end of our meal our waitress asked if we wanted our orange rolls now or boxed up and we got them to go for later. They were delicious as always and not something you eat every day.

In addition to the amazing food, we received excellent service as well. There were several good looking things on the menu that I’d like to try and we’ll return here sooner rather than later. Maybe next time I’ll let Mrs. Foodie tag along. My dad also missed this visit because he was traveling back into town.

🌮 **Delicious Discoveries at Toros Cantina and Grill in Rainsville** 🌯

This past weekend, we spent some time visiting with Mrs. Foodie’s family, and they suggested we eat at Toros Cantina and Grill in Rainsville. We both love Mexican food, so we were all in! 🌟

I was in the mood for something different from my usual Mexican restaurant order. I decided to try the tamales, which came with two tamales, rice, and beans. The tamales had chicken inside and were topped with ground beef. They were pretty good! The rice was above average. While tamales aren’t my favorite, I was glad I tried something different, and this dish didn’t disappoint. 🌽

Mrs. Foodie went with her regular order of chicken fajitas. I don’t have her detailed review, but I know she enjoyed them. 🌶️

Our other two dining companions each had burritos and seemed to really enjoy them. Judging by looks alone, I’d order a burrito myself next time. 🌯

We enjoyed their salsa. It was very thin but had a nice kick to it, which I appreciated. I prefer my salsa to have a bit of spice and am not a fan of overly sweet salsa. 🍅

One of the big highlights of the meal was the dessert called a corn cake. It’s not on the menu yet, but it’s something they’re testing out. There isn’t any indication of it, so you have to request it. We had two among the table, and everyone really enjoyed it. It was more similar to bread pudding than cornbread. Hopefully, it will get added to the regular menu. 🍰

We thoroughly enjoyed Toros, which had good food and a nice atmosphere. Though we’re not in Rainsville too often, this is a place we’d definitely come back to if we’re in the area. 🌮

🚗 **A Quick Trip to Bowling Green, Kentucky: Dining at Toro** 🌟

This past weekend, we decided to make a quick trip to Kentucky—specifically, Bowling Green. I’ve never been to Kentucky, and since Bowling Green is less than three hours away, it was an easy way to check Kentucky off my list. Although, I’d still love to explore more parts of Kentucky eventually. 🌄

We decided to leave late Saturday to avoid being in the car all day Sunday. Initially, I wanted to eat at one of the downtown restaurants, but most were closed on Sunday. Luckily, I found an amazing-looking Spanish restaurant on Google called Toro. We made a reservation for noon but ended up arriving half an hour early. Thankfully, they were able to seat us right away. 🕛

I had looked at the menu the previous day and knew I wanted to try the Street Corn Fritters appetizer and salmon as my main meal. The corn fritters were absolutely delicious—better than I had expected! The plate came with five fritters; I had three, and Mrs. Foodie had two. 🌽

The salmon entree was a delightful surprise. It was served over rice and topped with several vegetables. The flavors were incredible—I might have to drive back to Bowling Green just to eat this again. 🐟🍚

Mrs. Foodie chose the Pollo a La Brasa / Peruvian Chicken. I’m glad she ordered this because I had considered it too, and this way, I could still get a bite. Even though she’s not really a chicken person, she said this might have been the best chicken she’s ever had. It was juicy with the perfect spiciness and came with this nice dipping sauce, aji verde sauce, that reminded her of the Greek Goddess dressing but better! Aji verde is usually made with cilantro, jalapeños, mayonnaise, Parmesan, garlic, and lime juice. 🐔

By this point, I was pretty stuffed since I had eaten a bit more for breakfast than I should have. Mrs. Foodie wanted to order the Tres Leches but I didn’t put up much of a fight. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it even more than she did—the caramel flavor was fantastic. 🍮

We were both very impressed by Toro. If this restaurant were in Huntsville, we’d eat there every week. 🍽️

🍳 **Metro Diner: The Ultimate Breakfast Spot in Huntsville** 🥓

We love dining out for breakfast around once a week, and Metro Diner has quickly become one of our favorite spots. Their breakfast menu is available all day, and they're open late, so breakfast for dinner is always an option! 🌟

On our most recent visit, we went for breakfast on a Saturday. I was craving something savory, so I opted for the Western Omelette. Packed with ham, bell peppers, onions, and cheese, and topped with fresh salsa, it was absolutely delicious! The hash browns were extra crunchy, just the way I like them. They usually come seasoned, but not this time. Still, they were fantastic. And the biscuit? Light, fluffy, and buttery – a perfect side to my meal. 🥚🍳

Mrs. Foodie chose one of the scramble bowls, loaded with scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, and veggies. It's one of her go-to items, along with the waffle. She also enjoyed a biscuit on the side. Both dishes were hearty and satisfying, just what we needed to start our day. 🥘

On a previous visit for dinner, Mrs. Foodie was thrilled when I suggested Metro Diner because she loves their waffle. I wasn’t very hungry, so I tried the avocado toast. It was fresh and creamy, spread generously on whole grain toast and topped with sea salt and red pepper flakes. Simple yet tasty, though Mrs. Foodie thought it looked a bit plain. 🥑🍞

As I mentioned, Mrs. Foodie had the waffle again during this visit. It was a blueberry waffle, light and fluffy, with a hint of sweetness from the blueberries. She gave me a bite, and I must say, it was delightful! 🧇

We’ll definitely be visiting Metro Diner again – whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If you haven't checked them out yet, you're missing out on some seriously good eats! 📍🍽️

🍜 **Aki: Ramen Heaven in Huntsville** 🍜

Aki has always been one of our favorite restaurants in Huntsville. We used to be there every week until they changed their hours. Now, they close from 3 to 4:30, which unfortunately cuts into our usual dining time. But whenever we can make it, we’re reminded why we love this place so much! 🌟

One day, I had a serious craving for ramen, and convincing Mrs. Foodie to go to Aki is never a challenge. I usually go for the Tokyo Chicken Ramen or the Curry Ramen, but this time, I decided to try something different. I ended up ordering the Miso Ramen, which comes with pork as the protein. 🥢

I already knew the pork would be delicious since it's the same one used in the Curry Ramen. However, the Miso Ramen surprised me! I expected it to taste like miso soup, but it had its own unique, rich flavor that I absolutely loved. It’s now a strong contender for my favorite ramen at Aki. 🍲

If you're a ramen enthusiast or just looking for a new spot to try, Aki should be at the top of your list. Their menu offers a variety of flavors that are sure to satisfy any craving. 📍🍽️

🍔 **Discovering Hank’s Sports Bar & Rumors Deli in Cullman** 🍻

Last weekend, we made a trip to Cullman to see family and decided to check out Rumor’s Deli, now known as Hank’s Sports Bar & Rumors Deli. I've enjoyed Rumor’s in the past, but this was my first visit since they moved to their new location, and I was excited to see what had changed. 🌟

Mrs. Foodie surprised me by ordering the loaded fries as an appetizer. I wasn’t planning on indulging in fries, but who can resist a plate of perfectly crispy fries topped with cheese sauce? They were absolutely delicious, and we devoured them in no time. They even came with an amazing ranch dressing sauce for dipping, though they were already so flavorful that I didn’t need much of it. 🍟

For my main course, I was torn between the Jambalaya and the Muffuletta. Unable to find any online reviews or pictures of the Jambalaya, I decided to play it safe and go with the Muffuletta. This was my first time trying a Muffuletta, and it did not disappoint! The sandwich was packed with flavor, and the “crunchy salad” side – made with cabbage and ramen noodles – was a delightful surprise. I loved it so much that I could have easily handled double or triple the portion. 🥪🥗

Mrs. Foodie opted for one of the chicken wraps with crunchy salad as her side. The wrap was fantastic, bursting with fresh ingredients and a good bit of spice that we both enjoyed. I took a bite and immediately knew I’d be ordering it myself next time. 🌯

My mom went for the shrimp po’boy, and aside from it having a bit too much mayonnaise for her taste, she said it was really good. Being a big fan of po’boys myself, I’m definitely adding it to my list for a future visit. 🍤

The new location of Hank’s Sports Bar & Rumors Deli has a cool atmosphere with plenty of great music, making it a fun spot to hang out. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I ended up really enjoying the vibe. I’ll definitely be back again! 🎶
