The Chinese keep finding means of free espionage (most notably – TikTok) in America. This should not require an investigation – these kinds of products should simply never be allowed on the market.

Last week China & Russia held a joint-operation and brought 11 warships near the coast of Alaska. Alaska is a pivotal piece of our defense system. This was a symbolic mission - and with both Chinese and Russian relationship tensions - we need to be aware of the implications of this.

China's BeiDou GNSS is a threat to US leverage during wartime, and a giant national security risk when emerging countries are adopting both Chinese 5G and GNSS technologies. There has to be a greater emphasis placed on US GPS advancement as well as offering competing technologies to foreign countries - since they risk being controlled by the CCP's political ambitions and mass surveillance state.

"...But two things appear certain. First, Putin has suffered a huge political blow, and he has survived by making deals with both Prigozhin and his own colleagues in the Kremlin who are, by any definition, a humiliation. And second, Yevgeny Prigozhin has changed the Russian political environment surrounding Putin’s war in Ukraine."

Chinese hackers strategy of using “living off the land” tactics is a hint that they are preparing to cripple critical infrastructure in the event of an attack. The signatures were identified in Guam, but might be more widespread than originally reported.

The FMS (Foreign Military Sales) backlog is $19 billion dollars. This is a critical issue that doesn't get enough attention - affecting the future of our allies, strategic planning globally, and the protection of our own soil. This backlog is hindering our ability to provide Taiwan with enough ammunition to deter China in the event of an invasion.

Would Zero Trust methodologies have stopped the recent intelligence leak? The approach would definitely limit the ability to access information as easily as the national guardsman did. There’s still the fundamental question of physical security that we seem to ignore during this technology-focused age – denying cell phones, printing, scanning, email, USBs, etc. to keep information confidential.

The United States Department of Defense has come up with a couple of ideas for attracting & retaining talent - with DCTC (Defense Civilian Training Corps) and AIRC (Acquisition Innovation Research Center) being two of the top priorities. While these are definitely great ideas for pipelining talent - the clearance process backlog and gap in pay between federal & commercial market must be addressed to bring in new talent and keep the talent they already have.

The U.S. has long been a leader in innovation, science, and research. Our country's approach toward foreign scholars and workers is inviting and essential, but we must not be naive - a politically correct approach is dangerous. Strider Technologies recently released an intelligence assessment titled "The Los Alamos Club", detailing how foreign students have been working at prestigious U.S. research institutes (Oak Ridge, Los Alamos), then only to be recruited by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) to return home and share their knowledge. This is a shocking report that should raise more awareness in our country about higher education's negligent approach toward intellectual property theft.
