Just like yeast in a bread recipe, mental performance is the key ingredient that brings everything together. You can have all the top-tier skills, physical strength, and strategy, but it’s the mental game that makes players rise to their full potential. 💪🥇
The 16UAA Texas Heat Hockey did some serious mental fitness this week.
Can't wait to see them hit the ice this weekend!
Let's bring the 🔥
Learning should be an adventure, not a chore!
When kids engage in hands-on activities, they don't just memorize—they experience. Fun, interactive opportunities make concepts come to life, allowing children to explore, create, and discover on their own. This kind of kinesthetic learning taps into their natural curiosity, helping them develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and motor skills. When learning involves movement, play, and real-world tasks, it sticks!
Let's make education a joyful journey, one hands-on project at a time. ✨🧠💡
Did you know that soccer is one of the best sports for kids with ADHD?
⚽️ Soccer is an amazing outlet for kids with ADHD!
Not only does it help burn off that extra energy, but it also builds focus, teamwork, and discipline. The fast pace of the game keeps them engaged, while the structured environment helps improve their attention span. Plus, the physical activity boosts mood and reduces stress, making it a win-win for both body and mind. 🌟
I spent time at the 16UAA practice last night. The coaches worked these boys hard to develop some key strategic habits. It was fun to watch! 🏒
Working with teams is one of my favourite things to do because it's combining the magic of what is happening on the ice with specific mental tools needed to go to the next level. ↗️
I can't wait to see these boys in the classroom on Tuesday. We'll be working on grit and determination.💪
Coach Mary working on her goals and her daily habits. 💪
One of my favourite sports to watch.
Talk about mental toughness. The fitness required for this sport is no joke, not to mention the finesse.
What a weekend in DFW!
It was so much fun to get to a few games around the metroplex and cheer on our players!
I am always impressed with the commitment, focus, and effort of the young men and women we work with.
If you see me in a rink, come and say hi!
Parenting is all about the little wins! 🌟
Consistency doesn’t mean being perfect—it means making progress one day at a time. If you get off track, do a reset the next day. Don't let discouragement take over.
Keep going; your efforts are shaping your kids! 👏
Consistency is key! 💪
Every small routine you establish today builds a foundation of security, confidence, and love for your child’s future. Keep showing up, even when it’s tough, because your dedication shapes their world. 🌟
It's so great to be back in the office after taking time off this summer. 🎉✨️
I can't wait to reconnect with my clients and get started on a new academic and athletic season.
Let's do this! 💪
What an incredible weekend in Quebec City! 🇨🇦
Another tournament in the books!
All of the tools and strategies I use with my clients are ones I use myself, including staying fit, active, and challenging myself. Developing mental toughness is necessary at all ages.
I also believe in having a lot of fun. This weekend was FUN!
It was so great to spend a little time with my dear friend , who leads the and travels around the country delivering inspiration and comedy.
Surround yourself with others who are chasing hard after their dreams because it will propel you to do the same.
🧠✨ Impulse Control Tips for Kids! 🌟
1. **Pause & Breathe**: Take a deep breath before you react.
2. **Think Ahead**: Consider the consequences of your actions.
3. **Choose Wisely**: Opt for positive actions that make you proud.
You’ve got the power to make great choices! 💪
Let's go girls! 🔥
Delayed gratification is the ability to resist the temptation of an immediate reward in favor of a later, often larger or more enduring reward. This concept is crucial in developing self-control and self-discipline.
✨️Importance for Children✨️
1. **Academic Success**: Children who learn to delay gratification tend to perform better academically. They are more likely to persist in tasks, complete their homework, and engage in effective study habits. 📚
2. **Emotional Regulation**: Delayed gratification helps children develop better emotional regulation. They learn to manage their impulses and emotions, leading to fewer tantrums and outbursts.😀
3. **Social Skills**: Children with the ability to delay gratification often exhibit better social skills. They can wait their turn, share with others, and handle frustration more effectively, which leads to healthier peer relationships.🤼♀️
4. **Long-term Goals**: Learning to delay gratification teaches children to work towards long-term goals. This skill is essential for achieving significant milestones in life, such as completing education, building a career, and maintaining healthy relationships.🎯
5. **Financial Responsibility**: Understanding the value of waiting for a more significant reward can translate into better financial habits. Children who master delayed gratification are more likely to save money and avoid impulsive spending.💰
✨️ I am thrilled to be partnering with the for the upcoming season. ✨️
I had an incredible time working with some of the teams last year and this season we get to build on the work we've aleady done.
Working with athletes to improve their mental performance and overall mental health is my passion. And getting to do it with youth hockey teams is my favourite. I will be teaching and developing tools that will support these players on and off the ice. 🏒💪
If kids can learn how to become mentally fit and tough at a young age, they will grow up to be resilient, driven, confident, and successful adults.
Let's go heat!
This season, Texas Heat players and coaches will have an extra layer of strength. We are thrilled to have Mary on board and can’t wait to see the lasting, positive impact she will have on our players and our program.
So proud of Emma Roy! She has worked for this. 💪
✨ Tryouts are here! ✨
Remember, it’s all about what you can control: your effort and your mindset. You've got this! 💪
Good luck to all our amazing athletes! 🌟
Excited to read this.
A client recommended it to me after he read it with his mom. ❤️ That's some incredible learning happening. I can't wait to compare notes with him. ✏️
I am so proud of Devin!
He is our first graduate, and we are cheering him on as he transitions to college.
What an honor it is to do life alongside such an amazing kid.
