Check out this 99-inch shelf we just shipped out! This shelf was done in a tung oil finish. Tung oil is a great alternative to colored stains if you are trying to achieve a slight amber color. Tung oil is also a great finish choice for water resistant needs. Our client ordered this shelf for above their vanity in their bathroom. We love the creativity!

Here is a helpful article on how to clean your custom wood products. You want to stay away from harsh multi-surface cleaners as it can erode through some finishes. As well as using too much water. Water can cause the wood to swell leaving glass like rings. Try an easy DIY cleaner with two parts white vinegar to one part olive oil. You can add a few drops of lemon essential oil for scent.

GR Woodworks got to take part in a passion project for a client. When we were given the opportunity to design and build this dream deck, we couldn’t turn it down.

The deck is a whopping 2400 sq ft with a beautiful two-tone herringbone pattern. Some of our favorite design features would be the built-in planter boxes, storage seating, lily pad steps leading to the deck, and you can’t forget the slide and rock wall combo for the grandkids! We installed lighting on all stairs and trees that overlook the deck. That way they can enjoy themselves day or night.
Our client ended up very happy with the result.

This recently completed custom, rustic inspired, king bedroom set for a great client and friend was a joy to build.

Cut from rough Knotty Alder and finished in a subtle brown, the result was a rustic look with striking grain patterns.
As this client has a passion for woodworking, we really had to create something special. This was achieved by designing each piece almost entirely from hand cut joinery, which will ensure these pieces last for generations.
