ADOPTION UPDATE! INCREDIBLE NEWS!

We are absolutely thrilled! We've (all of you guys!) Have had a whopping 4 adoptions so far!

For anyone who ever doubted the impact of their contributions - whether through donations, volunteering at our events, pulling dogs for daycations through or sharing our furry friends on social media - here's the undeniable proof of your influence:

Let's take a look at Dolly - you might remember her as Jolly from the shelter. Here's the incredible series of events that led to her rescue and finding her forever home:
canine.rescue took Dolly on a special day out from CMPD and instantly fell in love with her.

Thanks to the CLT Dog Jog organized by Lendscout and Gilmore Dog Rescue on 03/17, the wheels were set in motion.

Shelley and Eileen rallied volunteers to physically visit the shelter and bring dogs out for the run.

Jenny stepped up to the plate and, on 03/16, pulled Jolly (now Dolly) away from the shelter for a sleepover to give her a break.

On the big day, March 17th, Jenny ran a 5k with Dolly - what an achievement! 🏆🐾

After the event, Dolly was returned to CMPD.

On that very same day, Andrew reached out to Shelley, expressing his desire to foster Dolly through Gilmore Dog Rescue. Absolutely fantastic news! The answer was, YES!

And the story doesn't end there - a month later, Andrew officially adopted Dolly!!!

But wait, there's more heartwarming news! Bella has a similar story, all thanks to the LendScout Team for putting on the CLT Dog Jog!

Shelley took to the Dogs in Charlotte Facebook group, seeking volunteers.

Shelle T. answered the call and pulled a pup out of CMPD, just like Dolly! Her name was Willa!

Shelle ran the 5k with Willa, now Bella, after having an overnight slumber party the night before!

After the race, Shelle made a life-changing decision - she chose not to take Willa/Bella back to the shelter! Instead, Shelle ended up adopting Bella from CMPD!!!!

What incredible acts of kindness and compassion. Thank you to everyone involved for making dreams like Dolly's and Bella's come true!
