Truck Driver Job Responsibilities:

Drive and operate trucks.
Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps.
Pre-inspect truck.
Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
Load and unload cargo.
Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.

DMS TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS is looking for a Driver to transport, safe and timely manner. Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license with a for hire endorsement and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.

Responsibilities

Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
Skills

Proven experience as a Driver
A valid driver’s license
A clean driving record
Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
Familiarity with GPS devices
Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
A polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
A high school diploma
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

DMS TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS LLC is looking for an experienced, hardworking, energetic individual to join our team on the docks. The Drivers Helper will be responsible for assisting with inventory management, loading and unloading vehicles, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in shipping and warehousing environments, a strong attention to detail and be able to effectively communicate with others. Our Drivers Helpers enjoy the benefits of overtime and schedule flexibility, but are also responsible for ensuring accuracy of customer shipments.

Responsibilities:

Assist the driver in the completion of their duties.
Gather and verify information about their route and provide this information to the driver.
Communicate with the dispatcher about delays, accidents, and traffic incidents.
