Financial planning is more than just managing an investment account. This is just a small example of a plan I recently put together: • Increased their coverage limits on their home and auto insurance. Implemented an umbrella policy AND STILL saved them over $2,000/year on their insurance. • Took that savings and implemented proper life and disability insurance coverages on each spouse • Completed an estate plan as they have children • They’re now investing > 25% of their income without affecting their existing lifestyle • Now on track to buy first rental property in the next 5 years • Implemented a sustainable cash flow plan so they know where their money goes each month and why it goes there • Have a cohesive investment plan for all their assets. Some accounts we pulled back the risk exposure and others we increased it depending on the intended use. After our implementation meeting one spouse looked at me and said “I had no idea you would get this detailed on everything. Our last advisor did nothing like this.” And the best part is, we’re just getting started.
