Knee high my 🍑! This fancy heirloom corn is well above my head on this Fourth of July. Happy holiday from my garden.
See you later October! Happy November everyone! Just two more weddings for year and I’ll be sliding into my cozy hibernation season. To say I’m looking forward to it would be an understatement. I may or may not have already started buying Christmas decorations 🙈
Velvet dress are a total vibe that I’m here for! Putting your attendants in velvet is a great way to bring warmth to your wedding. This can totally work for guys too! Let’s see some velvet dinner jackets! Photo 1 by photo 2
Happy Monday! ✨🍑🥕🍊🥭✨
I’m such a fan of contrast. It’s important to think of what the surrounding environment of your flowers is when planning your overall aesthetic. If this altar had much greenery incorporated, it would disappear into the backdrop of hedges. By sticking to flowers that contrast in shade to the hedges, the altar arrangements really stand out from the background.
Is today Valentine’s Day Eve or Super Bowl Sunday? Which are you choosing to celebrate?
Since wedding book around 12-16 months out, often I am working not only towards my yearly goals, but also setting major goals for the following year. One of my over arching goals between 2022 and 2023 is to hone my brand aesthetic by focusing on events that truly excite me.
It’s no secret that 2020 and 2021 were extremely difficult seasons for the wedding industry. Each in it’s own way. After these two years, I realized that in order for my business to be sustainable I have to be creatively fulfilled. While I’m still working on this, needless to say, I so looking forward to this upcoming wedding season!
If you are a florist out there feeling burnt out after two insane wedding seasons, I encourage you to take a step back. Analyze what projects make you the happiest. It could be certain color combinations. It could be working at certain venues. It could even be only doing events on certain days. Whatever it is, focus on it and make it happen. It’s amazing what the universe will provide when you put it out my
In honor of , I am so proud to announce our annual donation to ! Thank you to all of my wonderful 2021 couples that helped raise $2,300.00 that will go toward helping local animals in need! This is a cause near and dear to my heart and am incredibly thankful for all the work this organization does for our community. I strongly suggest adopting from local shelters to help lower the number of homeless animals. And let’s not forget “Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed and neutered”
Nothing better than the ambiance created with neon. This is a wedding trend I can get behind!
Give me all the dried textures! Fun tip- if your altar backdrop is mostly one color, use florals that contrast against the backdrop to make it more dynamic in photos. For example, if you are getting married outside in front of a tree line, don’t have a bunch of greenery in your altar arrangements. If you do, they will blend in with the trees in your photos.
Cake for breakfast anyone? Desserts in the AM is one of my favorite holiday traditions. It’s almost that season! What’s your holiday tradition that your looking forward to?
I can’t believe tomorrow is October! Where has this year gone?! The holidays will be here before we know it. Last year I held a Thanksgiving centerpiece workshop via Zoom, which was amazing! To enhance the experience, I was thinking about holding this year’s in person! Who would be interested in a in-person flower party the week of Thanksgiving?
First looks are always a good idea IMO. Your flowers will look stellar in all your photos! 😂
Something to brighten up this dreary day! 75% from the garden!
Flower columns to accent that beautiful Indiana sky! Just a reminder to always make room in that budget for a memorable floral moment.
Ok I know everyone is probably tired of Covid talk, but it’s looking like it’s here to stay, at least for awhile. If you are in the process of planning a wedding and are not sure if it is safe to go further with the whole big shebang, IT’S OKAY TO DOWNSIZE! I promise that your wedding will be just as special, just as romantic (if not more!), and just as memorable. Let’s not forget what a wedding is all about. At the end of the day, it’s about you and your person! These two were planning for a large wedding in 2020, decided to postpone, then officially cancelled due to the uncertainty. They came back shortly after canceling and decided to have a small ceremony and reception with their family and close friends. They still got their beautiful photos, she still got to have her dad walk her down the aisle, they still had speeches and cake, and most importantly they still got to have beautiful flowers...I mean they still got to get married! I guarantee that getting married in the park across the street from their house is way more memorable than a random wedding venue. Just saying... My a la carte service is perfect for these more intimate events! Reach out if you are in the need for a handful of arrangements. I would be happy to help! Photo by
3 years since I got to say ‘I do’ to this guy! I can’t wait for all the adventures and laughs ahead.

The king is in the house this week! 💥💥💥
There may only be a few more days of Pride month left, but love is love and I’m here for that 12 months a year!
Just here to show off my sweet pea crop from this year. It’s taken years of failed attempts, but it seemed to work this year. Sadly I had to rip them out this past weekend to make room for other summer crops. But now I know what to do! I can’t wait to order some specialty seeds for next year!
Is it really Monday?
Not your average wedding and I’m here for that! My goal for the year is to go completely foam free. I’ve spent years reducing my usage of that nasty stuff and doing research on alternative methods and hardy floral material. I can’t wait for the follow through on this! The usage of floral foam is detrimental to the environment, as well as my overall health. If you are a florist, I highly recommend at the very least limiting the use of foam or completely doing away with it! Photo by
Today’s brunch was so nothing but fun and funky. I loved putting together this flat lay! Paper by Calligraphy by
I may be losing my mind over this kitchen renovation, but the one thing that’s keeping me sane is the garden. The dahlias and zinnias are starting to pop out of the ground. The lisianthus is getting bigger. I can not wait!
Give me all the Spring color!
Obsessed with all the color from this past weekend! Photo by
I’m trying to be a little better about posting more often. I’ve been slacking off since it is my slower season. I have also been known to be a bit of a content hoarder, over-analyzing images, picking apart my designs so much that I feel there is no need to share. I am really going to try to be better about this in 2021. I hope y’all are up for the change! Photo by
