Today, we at the Mountain Citizen are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Stephanie Stiles-May, a dear friend, neighbor, businesswoman and an incredibly talented sports photographer.
Stephanie's camera lens captured the actions on the field and in the arena and brought Martin County sports to life in our newspaper during the last decade. Through her photographs, she told stories that words alone could never express.
Stephanie was much more than a photographer to us. She was a part of our community's spirit, always cheering for everyone she met. Her passion for the community was unparalleled.
To her family and loved ones, we extend our heartfelt condolences. Know that her legacy will continue to inspire and impact us all.
Stephanie, you will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, dear friend.
