: Power and renewable energy are incredibly exciting sectors to work in!

Every day, there are technological, regulatory, and industry advancements that shape the future of energy, making it an ever-changing landscape we must navigate. These innovations mean that the grid is continuously becoming more complex and advanced.

I find this evolution captivating, especially as we reimagine how to make the grid safer, more reliable, and more sustainable. To keep up with this dynamic industry, I eagerly delve into publications, webinars, newsletters, and podcasts. I also actively participate in professional organizations and peer groups dedicated to advancing renewable technology.

Engaging with other professionals often offers insights that I might miss in my research. I'm always seeking to integrate what I learn, aiming to enhance standards and challenge the status quo.

By understanding the innovations we're driving toward for the future, we can better design our projects to be and adaptable today.

It was simultaneously daunting, in that sometimes even the best minds were flustered by unwavering opposition, but also inspiring, and I hope to soon contribute more to solving these problems.

If no one’s out there doing the tough thinking and advocacy, then nothing gets done to move us in the right direction. I’m really glad I got more of that insight from my time here.
