The School of Social Ecology is a unique feature of the entire University of California system and in 2012-13 is home to over 2,000 undergraduate students, 300 graduate students, and 20,000 alumni. The School is an internationally recognized pioneer in developing interdisciplinary approaches to social problems.

Congratulations to University of California, Irvine psychological science alum (BA '17, post-baccalaureate '21) Carly Acuna, who recently earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver and a new role as a substance use counselor at Addiction Research and Treatment Services through the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. While in the UCI post-bacc program, Carly worked in Professor Elizabeth Cauffman's Development, Disorder, and Delinquency Lab.

Congratulations to psychological science post-baccalaureate alum ('24) Agnes Zhou, who is staying at the University of California, Irvine as a paid, full-time study coordinator in Dr. Gelareh Sadigh's Department of Radiology lab.

Zhou is also volunteering as a part-time lab manager at a place where she did some of her post-bacc work: psychological science Associate Professor Alyson Zalta's Trauma & Resilience Lab.

Congratulations to University of California, Irvine psychological science post-baccalaureate alum ('23) Dani Knoll, who recently got a sole-authored publication in the Journal of Contemporary Ethnography with his paper, "Re-inventing How We Live in the City: Well-Being in the Los Angeles Ecovillage."

While at UCI, Knoll worked in Professor Jessica Borelli's Health, Relationships, and Interventions (THRIVE) lab and Associate Professor Paul Piff's Morality, Emotions, and Social Hierarchy (MESH) lab.
