We heard from Kathy this week about how to practice righteousness and how the more you practice righteousness, the farther you move from sin. This week, we watched the video of Jen Wilkin’s teaching on Lesson 3 of Abide. If you missed it, you will definitely want to watch it! It was a powerful message. Everyone with an Abide book has free access to Jen’s videos. Look inside the back cover of your Abide book for instructions on how to access them and check out her Lesson 3 message.

It was so great to meet in person this week after a snowy start to Bible Study last week. We had the pleasure of hearing Camille present an excellent teaching on 1 John 1. She taught that darkness and light can not coexist. One must win. Knowing God is light means that he will overcome the darkness. She encouraged us to walk in the light. If you missed her teaching, would like to hear it again, or simply want to share it with a friend, head over to www.irvingbible.org/women and scroll down to "watch messages." It should be available after 2pm today! Also, did you know we have a Women at IBC Podcast?! Well, we do! And you can catch the replay on Apple Podcasts or Spotify by searching for “Women at IBC”.

Please take a moment to pray for Vermont today as they experience catastrophic flooding throughout the entire state. We have several women in our ministry, including our operations coordinator and Vermont native, Victoria, who have friends and family in Vermont who are personally affected by or live in communities that have been devastated by this flood. Pray for the safety of all Vermonters, relief from the rain and flooding and for the entire state as they look for a way forward and rebuild following the flood. As we pray for Vermont today, how can we also be praying for you?

When Strivings Cease | Session Five
"It’s a choice. It's acknowledging continual dependence on him and how that beautiful, intimate fellowship between you and your Savior is necessary. It sounds too easy. And it is. It's meant to be. He did it all. Friends, No need to strive, just rest and abide." While Summer Bible Study may be over, it's never too late to catch up on any of the messages from our "When Strivings Cease" series.
