Last Thursday, our Adult Bible Study did one of their favorite things -- they served the community! Each year, IBCers provide Thanksgiving meals to Irving families in need. Not only did our group raise $260, which provided about 6 meals, but they also assembled 100(!) bags in less than 45 minutes with big old smiles on their faces. May you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, finding great joy in counting your blessings and serving others!

I know I posted a video with Shout Out last week, but it's just so fun to see the stage being used to allow our kiddos to worship God... exactly what the stage and the kids were designed for!

Celebrate with Shout Out
Shout Out is back! Before our new space was built, Arise took up 3 classrooms in the pre-k area. This was not ideal, but there were a few benefits. The biggest one was that our kiddos could attend the large group worship time, led by the "Shout Out Kids". We've been waiting patiently to be able to use our stage to host worship again, and today was the day! At each service, 2 Shout Out Kids came to do a few songs and our participants were in heaven. Not only do our Arise participants benefit from being able to worship, the Shout Out volunteers benefit too. In fact, so many of them wanted to do Arise worship that they are having to rotate and take turns. ❤️ Thanks for a great morning, Kids at IBC!

Grover's Baptism
Oh happy day! One of our kiddos, Grover, chose to share his faith in Jesus publicly by being baptized. And the cherry on top is that one of our volunteers, Joe, had the honor to baptize him. Grover has shown his decision to follow Christ in many ways -- by "preaching" on Sundays with Bible in hand, dressing up as a pastor for career day, praying, and even baptizing friends and family in the pool each summer! Although he has a limited ability to express his faith verbally, he expresses it in numerous other ways -- the fruit of his faith is evident to all who know him. It's a joy to know him, and to call him my brother in Christ!

We love music in Arise! Whether it’s singing and dancing to worship music on the stage, playing the floor piano, or cracking up while a volunteer sings, music often reaches our participants in ways that other teaching methods don’t. So if you ever join us on a Sunday, get ready to make a joyful noise!

It’s always a party in Arise! This was our 5th Sunday in the new space and we are absolutely loving it!

They finally opened up the wall so that I can show you how SHORT AND EASY the walk will be from the parking lot to our checkin area! Probably 20 steps. There will be designated parking spots for Arise families so that walking from the car to our area will be as easy and safe as possible! We’re getting closer….. 😁😁
