Your grant has been instrumental in helping us to continue our weekly visits to the patients and families at the hospital. We are thrilled to contribute towards your vision of a vibrant county where culture is essential and accessible to all.

Summer is a special season for Laughter League ✨ We’ve partnered with Camp John Marc, a camp for kids with chronic health conditions, for 14 years now. Each summer, our team of ‘Bumbles’ appear all over camp as fun characters, in addition to teaching comedy and circus class.

Camp John Marc is designed in partnership with North Texas area pediatric hospitals and aims to inspire confidence for life through its camping programs. Laughter League’s focus on empowering through connection and laughter fits right in at Camp John Marc! Here we’re able to take our usual 10 minute therapeutic humor interactions and expand them into a week of silliness and camaraderie.

We are grateful to be included on the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Artists Roster again! Looking forward to bringing more Laughter League to audiences throughout Texas!

On June 11, TCA Commissioners approved the 2024-2026 Texas Touring Roster! Congratulations to all the approved artists and groups! Check out this study "Staying Engaged: Health Patterns of Older Americans Who Participate in the Arts" by Kumar B. Rajan, PhD, and Rekha S. Rajan, EdD, PANCH Research, LLC for the National Endowment for the Arts which looks not only at the impact of creating art but also attending art, including live performances. This data supports why we do the work we do. We are convinced that the arts improves quality of life, impacting quality of health. Laughter League's unique interventions offer audience members the opportunity to not only be spectators but to also to join in, interact, and play - becoming live performing arts creators themselves.

Laughter League's artists create unique interactive performances for babies too! They react to the proposals that babies make, empowering them as they enter into conversations that make space for wonder, smiles and laughter. Not only are these exchanges about connection between clowns and their young audience, but they offer unique moments of connection between babies and their caregivers too - as they experience these surprising moments together!

Thank you for contributing to our National Humor Month Campaign! These funds help us keep our work going and also allow us to consider expanding our programs. We hope that National Humor Month will become a yearly tradition as a time for individuals to support the work while also gaining more insight into how healthcare clowns transform the healthcare environment.

Laughter League Atlanta is present in numerous units of Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital including the PICU, NICU, Registration waiting room, lab waiting room, Pediatrics Emergency Department, General Pediatrics wing, and the Dialysis Clinic. In the NICU department interventions benefit both babies and new parents, using music and humor to relax the atmosphere and transform the environment. This program started in 2021 and officially became part of Laughter League in 2023. In a very short time, Laughter League has become a part of the circle of care in this wonderful hospital system.

Laughter League has been an integral presence at Seattle Children's Hospital, offering regular visits each week throughout the Pediatric Unit. In 2023, Laughter League also started working in the Behavioral Health Unit of Seattle Children’s Hospital.
