Two pups from Mexico made an over night stop here before going to Canada to their forever homes!

With heavy hearts we need to let you know that despite the good prognosis and a successful surgery, Erin did not make it. 💔

Ultimately her bladder couldn't hold out and we had to make the decision we never want to have to make… to humanely let her go.

We are terribly distraught and disappointed, but know that we did everything we could to save her and that she was held in loving arms in her last moments.
She was truly a star at the vet…everyone that helped her loved her.

It might be comforting to know that we are fortunate in that we have far more successes than failures.
Losing Erin is a rare occurrence but we gave her the chance she deserved- that's the best we can do.

And, ultimately, we are still left with a significant vet bill- that coupled with the care for Margot Robbie-means we are really struggling to make ends meet at the moment.

To be sure we can be there for the next animal in line, we truly need your help!

RESCUE NEVER STOPS and Erin Richards needs your HELP.

Found injured after being hit by a car, his 2-year-old sweetie was pulled from the shelter just hours before she was scheduled to be euthanized.

We knew she had a broken pelvis that would require surgery and crate rest which is something we never shy away from, but unfortunately Erin started showing signs that something else was not right.

After a fair amount of searching, we found an emergency vet willing to see her and it was determined that Erin had a torn bladder and had been leaking urine into her body...so much so that she was actually bloated.

Of course, this required immediate surgery, but here’s where things got even more intense...there were NO vets available to perform the surgery for FOUR DAYS.

That meant 4 days of emergency vet care PLUS surgery which left MZ with one of the most staggering vet bills we’ve ever seen...four times what we’d anticipated.

This is where we need your help.

Please contribute to Erin Richard’s Fundraiser so that we can continue to save unwanted animals and give them a chance at a great life...just like Erin!

Our coffers have taken quite a hit and one thing we NEVER want to do is say NO to an animal in need.
