This lovely girl came in wanting to add depth to her blonde but still keep a bit of brightness around her face, we did just that!!

Same hair…. Different lighting!!

YES, lighting affects the way we perceive hair color.

In a warmer “yellowish” lighting your hair will reflect this color, being perceived as a yellower tone!

In a cooler setting such as white light your hair will reflect as more of an ash blonde.

When it comes to taking hair pictures it will ALWAYS be best to do so under direct sunlight! Sunlight is a FULL SPECTRUM LIGHT….. meaning…. it has every single color and frequency of light. With that being said, it will show the “true” color of the hair.

UNFORTUNATELY, it’s a rainy day here in Jackson Michigan so no direct sunlight for today’s pictures! 😢

I attached the reference picture we used, she didn’t want it as warm as the blonde in the picture so I toned her with neutrals!!!!
