I went to Bethel Springs and Rose Creek Road in McNairy County today to get some interviews and footage of the storms aftermath. It was heartbreaking to see what these families are having to go through. The people I talked to were so kind. Many people are pouring in to help those affected by these storms. Four of the nine people who died in McNairy County died on Rose Creek Road. Keep all of these poor people in your thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE: On Saturday, at approximately 5 pm, Haywood County Sheriff Investigators and Deputies arrested Kevion Davis, age 18, of 668 Bell St in Brownsville in connection with the murder of Christine Michael on February 10th. Davis has been booked in the Haywood County Jail with no bond and held on 1st Degree Murder charges.
On this same date, at approximately 6:30pm, Haywood County Sheriff Investigators and Deputies, along with the assistance of the Brownsville Police Department, arrested Bishop Owens, age 16, of 962 Scott Street in Brownsville in connection with the murder of Christine Michael on February 10th. Owens will be held in detention by juvenile court officials for 1st Degree Murder. He also has no bond.
I spoke with Haywood County sheriff Billy Garrett JR. as well as the mother of victim Christine Michael today about the shooting that took place in Haywood county.

The TBI has issued an Amber Alert for two teens missing from Jackson, TN.
UPDATE: The body found at the Watson Residence has been identified as Britney Anderson Watson. This was confirmed by Haywood County Sheriff Billy Garrett.
Ex Husband Kevin Watson will be charged with her murder. A court date has officially been set for Mr.Watson on January 31st.
There is no update in the cause of Ms.Watson’s death at this time. Tune into WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News at 6 for more details.
Between fighting, cornering other fighters, and judging I’ve been going to MMA events for over ten years now. The Black Tie & Boxing is one of the best events I’ve ever been to. Update: A body has been discovered buried nearby the Hillville Loop address of Kevin Watson. It has not yet been positively identified and will be sent for autopsy and identification.
All search efforts will stop at this time pending this identification.
Breaking: Family sources tell me that Kevin Watson has confessed to killing Britney Watson. That he has also told officials an area where her body is located.

A baby was discovered in a dumpster located on 33 Carver Avenue in Jackson. Tune in to WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News at 5 and 6 for more information. We will also be talking about the Safe Haven Baby Box arriving to Jackson in April, and stuff mothers can do before the box arrives to avoid anything as tragic as this happening again.
The body recovered has been confirmed as Jolynne Redfearn.
Vehicle of missing female Jolynne Redfearn, who has been missing for over a month, was located yesterday in Tishomingo County. Prayers to this family.
According to the Tishomingo County Sheriffs Department, cell records were obtained and the last known location was obtained. The vehicle was recovered from what appeared to be a crash near Highway 350 in a heavily wooded area.
A body was recovered and we are waiting on a call back from the Deputy Coroner of Tishomingo County for identification.

Update: The search continues today for Kevin Watson. He was first labeled as a suspect in the disappearance of his wife Britney Watson Sunday morning after Mr.Watson’s truck was located near “Big Eddy”containing a note indicating that he maybe suicidal. Mr.Watson is familiar with the location since he was known for hunting and fishing in that area. I spoke with Sheriff Garrett of Haywood county over the phone today. There is a group searching now. Tuesday morning, they will begin searching the nearby river using sonar technology. Stay with WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News on air and online for future updates.

Breaking News: We received multiple tips about a large police presence at the North Jackson Walmart. Police were called onto the scene where two employees got into an altercation. Police are still looking for one of the suspects. To find out more information, tune into WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News at 10.
Breaking News: Around 1:30pm today Chester County Officers received a call about a stolen vehicle coming in state route 100 towards Chester County from the Decatur County region.
Decatur County police were in pursuit of the vehicle earlier in the day, but lost contact with it. While the vehicle was heading into Chester County, a Chester County fireman spotted the vehicle and called it in. The Officers of Chester County were able to make contact with the vehicle, which lead to a brief pursuit. The vehicle ended up losing control where two individuals exited the vehicle and ran.
One suspect was taken in rather quickly. The other suspect ran into a wooded, swamp area. After a four hour search, police apprehended the suspect where the individual was wearing only a pullover shirt, shorts, and was completely barefoot. Both suspects are now in custody without incident. Make sure to watch WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News where there will be more information tonight at 10.

JACKSON, Tenn. — A rotary club meeting takes place at local hotel.
Earlier Monday, the Old Hickory Rotary Club had a meeting at the DoubleTree Hotel.
The guest speakers were Jackson Fire Department training officer Jana Compton and Jackson Med-Link West Tennessee Healthcare Communications Supervisor Christy Tillman.
The meeting was at noon with the topic being Safe Haven Baby Boxes. The ultimate goal with these boxes is to save the babies and help the mothers that want it.
“We love to learn about our community and the initiatives going on in the community,” said Shelley Hayes, Jackson Old Hickory Rotary Club President. ” Rotary is the international organization that has local clubs throughout the world and we support community initiatives.”
