I was super excited to share the kitchen with this project, but it will have to wait. It flooded, and now has to be redone. So here it is during the chaos the other day. Better pics will come, eventually!

Colors, textures, patterns.

Little bathroom details ✨we updated the ceiling, and added paneling on the walls. This paneling is actually bamboo. I chose colors and elements for the Riverside Bungalow project based on the surrounding nature. I really wanted to gut this bathroom and do a custom vanity + built in cabinet, tile etc., but that just wasn't in the budget for this project.

The first time we walked into this space I said we're going to build a nook here. I had designed one to build, but found this cutie on marketplace for $100. It's originally from Germany, the man who had it bought it when stationed there in the War and brought it home. I recovered it with thrifted vintage fabric. Everything pictured is thrifted minus the light & curtains.

I was nervous about color drenching such a dark color, but sitting here listening to the rain hit the metal roof + a cup of coffee in hand is chefs kiss, it's like a warm hug of a color. ✨

My favorite room in the river house I've been redoing since late winter. This property will dual as our personal space + airbnb in the coming months. We're calling it the Riverside Bungalow, but that could change. I got the bedframe's online + recovered them with an old quilt topper.

Client bathroom update! We shopped her home to style the shelves. Most of the time, we have plenty of things already in our houses to use instead of going to spend more money. My favorite is using items that mean something to us, like our grandfathers driftwood, art made by a friend, or old thrift goods. The old shoe molds will be used as towel racks, how fun. ✨ We're just missing a tp holder, rug, and ceiling light and this project will be wrapped up.

Let me share a bit about A-OK Interiors. I've worn many hats and dipped my toes into various career paths as I search for alignment in career. From a plant shop to jewelry making, flower preservation to thrifting, and even owning short-term rentals. I'm all about diving into things that bring joy and fulfillment into our lives – many of those I still enjoy in various capacities today.

Recently, I sold my plant shop, prompting me to take stock of what truly brings me joy and where I want to direct my energy. Interestingly, interiors and home improvement have always been a part of my life. Growing up, Sundays were all about HGTV with my dad, or helping in his shop, and as a teen, I was constantly rearranging my room. I was also dragged to auctions with my mom not knowing how much I'd love them today! She always decorated our home with the coolest eclectic pieces I'd swoon over today. A lot of my style derived from her's over the years.

As an adult, my love for interiors expanded to frequent house rearrangements (sorry babe), Airbnb hosting, and staging/styling. If my younger self saw where I am now, she'd be thrilled. This path has been ingrained in me for as long as I can remember.

Throughout a recent renovation, I kept reminding myself that everything will be A-OK. I dove into hands-on work, made mistakes, and learned valuable lessons. The most important one? No matter what, everything will always be A-OK.

With A-OK, my goal is start to finish interiors. From kitchens & bathrooms, to that random corner you just don't know what to do with. Staging, and styling too, with a strong focus on short term rentals (Airbnb) and properties hitting the market. Retail spaces? Absolutely! I've got the experience, the determination, and a trusted list of contractors and woodworkers ready to help bring these visions to life. Let's dive in and make magic happen!
