IDEA's Parent Leadership Institute - Now Accepting Applications for Cohort IV
We are thrilled to announce our fourth application period for the Parent Leadership Institute (PLI) for Jackson Public Schools parents, faculty and staff, and community leaders in the City of Jackson!
After three AMAZINGLY SUCCESSFUL cohorts, JPS parents and community leaders are encouraged to apply for Cohort IV now through August 18, 2023:

Watch this 5 minute short film from the 2023 Decolonize Puerto Rico: A Learning and Solidarity Experience. This year IDEA partnered with VAMOS Puerto Rico to support the second Decolonize Puerto Rico: A Learning and Solidarity Experience. The crew of participants was comprised of educators and activists from Jackson, Mississippi, Jackson Public Schools, Journey 4 Justice, ALAS: Educational Access for Immigrant & Court-Involved Youth, and Puerto Ricans living in the diaspora.
Celebrating The Life of Robert "Bob" Moses
Join us virtually for the celebration of life for Robert Parris "Bob" Moses! Bob Moses was an American educator and civil rights activist, known for his work as a leader of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) on voter education and registration in Mississippi during the Civil Rights Movement, and his co-founding of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party.
The Veterans of The Mississippi Civil Rights Movement, Tougaloo College, Institute for Democratic Education in America (IDEA), One Voice, and others will gather physically and virtually to remember Robert Parris "Bob" Moses.
