On this day 7 years ago, my heart broke into an irreparable amount of pieces. Not long after getting back from deployment and only a few weeks short of getting to go home, I lost my little brother. A pain so deep and strong that I don’t wish upon anyone. I still mourn his death but everytime I see the #36 I know he’s telling me everything is going to be okay. This foodtruck is more than just a business, it signifies how much my brother meant to me and my family. He is the one you see on our logo when you see our trailer. He will forever be my little brother, Marquito ❤️

Hi Community,

I am coming to you all to ask that you please rally behind one of our small businesses this week and show out like I know we can!

Over the last 4 years, I have built a relationship with Jeanette (Salty Sistas). During this time, we have both grown as small business owners and always could rely on each other. There is no doubt that it has been a hard year for us all, but on top of the rough economy, Jeanette also suffered the loss of her husband too.

Though she was hurting, she always knew when to ask for help. It was always quick fixes and I could lend a helping hand when she needed it. But unfortunately, she came to me last week and it’s something that I just can’t do on my own.

Salty Sistas Restaurant and Bakery is just weeks away from possibly having to close their doors. A major system failure caused thousands of dollars in food waste and left a huge dent. While she is making steps to buy her and the restaurant a little time (goodbye food truck 🥲), it’s not something that will help with the immediate need this week.

This is where we can help! Wednesday we are running a fundraiser. OPERATION: SAVE SALTY SISTAS!

The restaurant will be closed for dine in service, but Jeanette, Kristin and Myself will be on site with a special to-go promo! This Wednesday only, carry out a delicious flatbread pizza (with an app and dessert) for only $14! What a steal! (Add on a la carte flatbreads for only $9 each. And as the official taste tester… you’re gonna want to try them all!)

The bar will be open if you want to order ahead and have a drink while you wait, or come in and order straight at the bar. Come say hi 👋

PLEASE join me in helping keep this small business afloat. 🙏 We know that we could easily be in their shoes next. It takes a village and thank heavens we have one of the best in, Sneads Ferry ❤️

What makes our empanadas different? Besides delicious flavors, they’re now stamped with the Marquitos name! We stuff our empanadas with beef or chicken so when you take a bite it’s a mouthful! Stay tuned for our empanada loca coming soon 👀

This past weekend was so amazing! We had family travel from CT and VA to celebrate our grand opening with us! Lord knows all the obstacles we have overcome to be at this point in our lives and we are forever grateful to all of you that have shown support since we started. It doesn’t get more official than a ribbon cutting ceremony right ?!?! Thank you to for hosting us on this very special day and to for working with us last minute and of course for our amazing shirts!! Y’all are amazing! We can’t wait see what’s in store for us 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
