Jacksonville University Midshipmen presented the colors for a JU alumni retirement ceremony at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. LT Hugo E. Lerma retired after 23 years of service and worked in the Civil Engineering Corps.
Jacksonville University’s AMOI, MSgt Williams led training in close order drill for platoons and staff this past Friday. Close order drill is intended to teach our Midshipmen how to move and lead different formations. It also increases their self confidence. This is foundational knowledge we aim to prepare our Midshipmen with before they enter the Fleet.
Jacksonville University Midshipmen volunteered to judge Mandarin High School’s NJROTC Drill Meet. These MIDN had the opportunity to mentor and observe the hard work that these JROTC students put in.
