Competitive Edge Black D3 Mid-American Xball League Recap

With just one month to build a second line and only one formal practice as a team, we faced the challenge of assembling a roster with immense potential. The main question was how quickly this new line would gel. Despite their limited time, the team came together and continuously improved with each match.

They began the day with a tough 0-4 loss to their brothers CE! but rallied back for a close win over the Chicago Wild Thingz Paintball Team. It was truly a storybook event, with everyone contributing to the success. Congratulations to all the players, and a special shout-out to the young rising star, Tj McGehee, for his first finals appearance and win!

Competitive Edge D3 Recap: 🥉

Coming into this event, we took a few risks by splitting our roster in two and giving more opportunities to players who previously hadn't had many opportunities to shine. Players on both lines stepped up this past weekend and showed great growth.

Alex Lynch, aka "Duck," was just one of those standout players. "Duck" played great this weekend, with consistent read-and-react play up the middle being a highlight. Despite coming up a little short in the semi-finals, dropping a one-point match to Punish Them, the team is looking strong.

After two events, the team has a 🥈 and 🥉 place finish and sits on top of the division in overall points. The race is tight, the competition is high, and we have more to work on!

D4 Event #2 Recap - Mid-American Xball League
Our D4 line continues to show tremendous potential despite their record this past weekend. Finishing with a 2-2 record, the team secured 4-0 and 4-2 wins but faced tough losses at 2-3 and 1-2 during the preliminaries. Despite these challenges, the team managed to advance to the next round by a narrow point margin.

In the next round, they played a nail-biting 10-minute no-point game and ultimately lost in overtime with a score of 0-1. The team has fought hard in every match this season and is on the EDGE of victory. It's time to return to the lab and finish this season strong!

We’re looking at a heat index of over 90 degrees for the next three days and we want to get ahead of heat stress! 🥵 Remember to hydrate with water, or maybe a sports drink, primarily throughout the day☀️and night🌙. We also recommend downloading the OSHA NIOSH Heat Safety Tool app for your phone which informs you of the signs and symptoms as well as first aid for heat related injuries and illness. Keep an eye on your coworkers as we work to stay cool together! 😎
