Hello friends! I wanted to share a quick update on my health (heart attack). I'm thrilled to say that every day, I feel so much better. My plan to return to my sewing room on Monday is still on track. Today, I spent several hours there and can't wait to go back tomorrow. It's my happy place! All orders due to ship last Monday will now ship on Monday, and the rest of my schedule remains largely unchanged.

Little did I know that when I posted this meme approximately two weeks ago, I would actually be calling my sister before calling 911. This past Sunday started like any other day but ended up being anything but ordinary. I was in my sewing room, thinking about everything I wanted to design and make for the upcoming holidays. About an hour into my work, I felt a severe pain in my upper back, but I didn't give it much thought since I'm used to back pain from a previous auto accident and daily pain from Lupus. But, within 30 minutes, the pain had worsened and spread from my upper back to my chest, so I closed my sewing room and told Tom that I thought I might be having a heart attack. He immediately wanted to call 911, but I told him I wanted to call my sister, Deb Debi Lunsford Rogers first. So I called her as he called 911. She kept me calm, and soon I was on my way to the hospital. I experienced a quick conversation with Jesus as I was being transported, and it was this, Jesus, I guess I might be meeting you today! I only felt a sense of calm. My prayers are that every person reading this will be ready to meet Jesus at any time. Our research teams have been given the ability to create new procedures that give us more life to live, all thanks to Jesus Christ. I had three blockages, two being over 95% blocked and my widow maker almost completely blocked. But, I now after three stents, I feel like a new person, and I'm eager to start sewing again on Monday! My cardiologist, who looks a lot like Ray Romano 😂, told me that I could start doing everything I did before after resting for a couple of days, even walking five miles a day, which I haven't done in over a year. I'm so excited to start designing and sewing again!
