The getting ready portion of a wedding day can result in some of the most candid and emotional moments, making it a wonderful opportunity for capturing beautiful photographs.

Here are some tips to brides that will allow us to document this exciting part of the day!

Whenever possible, choose a well-lit and spacious room for the bridal party to get ready. Natural light creates soft and flattering images.

Keep the Space Tidy: A cluttered room can distract from the emotions and details.

If you are planning on having a first look with the groom, consider also having a first look with your parents or bridesmaids as well. These reactions can be equally moving!

Groom spotlight time! Two years ago we were able document this groom's dad as he walked down the aisle with his long-time soulmate. Recently, we also got the honor to document their first born walking down the aisle with his sweetheart. Thank you Joan + Diana for allowing us to be part of your special day!

Having the opportunity to capture both father and son both as grooms on their wedding day was an amazing experience!

First dances...one of of our favorite moments to capture as they are full of emotions. In this wedding, our beautiful bride did not only have a first dance with her father, but what a an emotional moment it was to capture her first dance with her two sons as well.

This is your reminder to have your engagement photo session during golden hour. Well, technically, we would start your session roughly 45 mins earlier than golden hour, so we can get you comfortable in front of our cameras, getting you warm up for all the fun we would have, and Stuard would start his set of jokes to get all those "laugh til your stomach hurts" moments in your photos.

is an understatement. The amount of clothes we have changed during that time is insane, Leilani only wants to cuddle, giving us no time to do anything at all. You have no idea how long ago I started writing this caption today.

But in the middle of all of this, I am thankful we have three beautiful girls, thankful for the opportunity of cleaning up after them, thankful for all the struggles and all the times we have to wake up at night to assist them during this process, this is all temporary, very often as parents we need to understand this, and give ourselves grace to deal with all of these unexpected events in our families, and embrace this as part of our journey as well.

BUT here's the thing You just don't want anyone with a camera to document your so many years waiting for the right one, your connection with the person you were dreaming off for years, all the laughter that make you feel goofy, the silliness that comes out of you for just being loved, the non sexual touches that make you feel like walking on clouds, the sparkling eyes when your significant other just get lost on your eyes, the holding hands of the person that is willing to walk alongside you for the rest of their lives.

Your photos are more than just pretty pictures. There are YOU, and your VICTORIES, your STRUGGLES, your VULNERABILITY, your PASSION, your DREAM COME TRUE, your PRESENT, your FUTURE, your LEGACY.

One of the sweetest gestures we see our gorgeous couples do that really melts our hearts away is incorporating details on their wedding attire with the intention of honoring the memories of loved ones that have passed away.

There are so many different and meaningful ways to accomplish this:

Wear any of their belongings. You could wrap a piece of fabric from a beloved uncles' favorite coat or your late aunt's wedding dress around the handle of your arrangement.

- You could also put the family or friend's photo in a locket you attach to your bouquet or wear around your neck.

- You could make a toast in their honor.

- Release butterflies or doves at your ceremony.

- Incorporate their favorite flowers in your bouquet or boutonniere.

- Play their favorite song.

The options are endless. Just discuss with your partner what would have the most sweet and meaningful touch for both of you.

One of the moments you should be looking forward the most on your wedding day, it's the time for your formals with your partner!

This is the time we would steal you away from your guests with the whole purpose of documenting just the two of you, so you can love deeply, have a good laughter, some PDA, lol and of course some jaw dropping photos that later on you would be sharing with your kiddos and whole family.

An intimate moment between the groom and his mom! The society have been intoxicating our minds about being VULNERABLE specially the day of your wedding, when there's just so many emotions happening all at once.

Let me tell you:

Your wedding day is all about you and your partner, it's about being emotional present, being just THERE experiencing all the butterflies during your first look, or while walking down the aisle, but also experiencing all the love from the people who matter the most to you.

Tell your man to embrace this day at it's fullest, let him know it's ok to show vulnerability while he's contemplating you, or when his mom just hugs him showing him how proud she is he finally found his other better half (and that's you my friend😏)
