December 12th marks the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and here is our shrine. The supernatural mother of the Americas has been a source of inspiration, inclusion and revolution since the Aztec St. Juan Diego's had an apparition for the first time on a hill called Tepeyac on Dec. 9, 1531. Today, we may not all be Catholic, but in this corner of the world we are 💯 percent Guadalupan.

Our second year sustainably harvesting a beautiful 🌲 for our family Christmas Tree from the Gila National Forest. The Service has a permit process that provides requirements as to the size and location of the trees to be harvested in the best manner to reduce brush that could fuel forest fires and negatively impact the old growth Ponderosa Pine. Thank you and Happy Veterans Day to all those who have served and especially to my Dad. Two weeks ago on October 27th, our family (which includes seven children, their wives and husbands, and fourteen grandchildren) surprised our Mom and Dad for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. I would like to also thank my wife, Arielle, for allowing us to travel at the last minute to be with them and for making this amazing Dugan Family Tree. ❤️‍🔥

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! Here’s a special reminder from this friendly ghost to vote 🗳️ this Election Day 🇺🇸 Local elections are the backbone of our democracy.

Indigenous is genius. May we walk humbly and with gratitude on these sacred grounds.

A couple weeks back, approximately three-thousand miles from Lower Manhattan, we stumbled upon a 9/11 memorial about 20 miles from the US/Mexico border. Twenty-two years after the United States was shaken to the core and the date of September 11th brings with it somber remembrance and uneasy reflection. So many gone too soon. So many with us here still suffering from the causalities related to that day and the seemingly endlessly terrifying War on Terror that followed. Today I pray for healing. Today I pray for peace.

Heartbroken to read this news. 💔 I was fortunate to work with Judge Thronton both as a Judicial Law Clerk and later during a 28 day trial as a lawyer in private practice. Judge Thornton had a kind way about her that we seldom come across in the battlefield of litigation. A tireless jurist with a big heart and even larger sense of humor, she made the practice of law what it should be: the patient search for the truth. On this Memorial Day, I remember this amazing public servant and human being. I love you, Judge Thornton. May you rest now in heavenly peace. 🙏 🕊️

She was brilliant and plain spoken, insightful and honest, direct and witty, and a selfless friend. Judge Thornton also cared deeply about making this a better world through her words and deeds. Her sudden passing is a loss to the Judiciary and to humanity.”
